Incomprehensibly good hip hop.

What is this? Yet another shameless promotion of quality hip hop that doritos has been listening to recently? Why yes, Jimmy, that's exactly right! Take a moment to pause your iTunes and prepare to have your faces melted right the fuck off. This is lyricism and production at its finest, I can't wait to bump it at the hill next weekend...

Son of a bitch. Yeah, they're not my links they're someone else's, so problems like this happen... fucking hell. I'll fix it, should be good now.

Yessir, and it's done incredibly well. I didn't think anyone could dub/sample those albums as well as Easy Star All Star did with "Dub Side of the Moon" but the level of production on this album is staggering.

Haha, yeah, I was just giving it a listen while I was doing some smoking and drawing the other day and like halfway through the first song (Syzigy) it suddenly occurred to me that this guy was literally shredding the mic in half with his flow. Replayed it three times. And the beats are both ridiculously catchy and original, I can't stop listening to this album.

After listening to The Dark Side of Oz i realized that the ablum was dope. I then did some background research on The Problemaddicts and found that they made another album known as The First Steps. I downloaded that album, but I can't remember the original website I got it from. So I uploaded it to MediaFire, and here it is.

Side note: for some reason I couldn't use Firefox for the reply editting features. Is anyone else having a similar problem?

The First Step is pretty sick, I don't like it as much as Oz but that's not to say it isn't an amazing album. Show Stoppers is one hell of a song, I think it's MC'd by the same guy who does Syzigy. And yeah, I'm having the same problem with Firefox... I don't like Fancy GUI anyways though, just did it for that period of time when you couldn't embed without it and forgot to change it back.

i really want to download this but dont have winrar right now. anybody know of another way to download the songs without winrar or a safe place to download it without any virusus or spyware or whatever

Aye, Home is amazing. Most of the people I've showed the album too like Dead Time the most, I really like it but it's not as much my style as the other ones. Definitely a great song though.

They're nowhere to be found, I've scrounged around for awhile... I tried to listen closely to Syzigy but even though he articulates very well he moves from idea to idea so fast it's hard to follow his train of thought. The rest of the songs are generally pretty easy to understand though.

Figured I'd resurrect this thread instead of starting a new one, someone in LM recommended these guys to me and I can't get enough. This song has such an eclectic mix of influences - old school to modern hip hop, jazz, disco... easily one of the most masterfully produced tracks I've ever heard. These guys aren't quite as lyrical as Problemaddicts but they're still impressive, and they have orgasm-inducing flow. The third verse is amazing, they play off of each other SO well... I give you the Chicharones, a Sleep and Martinez duo.

what you just posted makes me like problemaddicts. i just cant get down with that goofy white boy style. not hating on production b/c that seems accomplished. i mean you'd think as a white guy, that would do it for me, but i guess i like the glimpse into a different lifestyle i get from the gritty stuff. but andrew, i DO respect that you like that.

Hahaha, thanks man, I get where you're coming from... I mean they definitely sound pretty white. I guess I just don't notice it that much, as long as it's well produced and MC'd.

here's my suggestion. check out count bass d's album: "dwight spitz"this is my favorite track off the album-"sanctuary"i really have respect for him because he has a real do-it-yourself approach, handling every aspect of the album, including production. what do you all think? is this your thing? im curious b/c it's quite different than any of the other suggestions.

I like the production a lot, gangster as hell but not over-the-top. The guy has a real solid flow. I like my complex rhyme schemes, which he lacked, but I enjoyed listening to him a lot. Good shit, and you gotta respect someone who runs the whole show.

This is another guy who does the whole album, from scratching to producing to MCing. He's even black, not a goofy white kid... haha.

This song has a much different flavor but it's ridiculous. Same guy under a different name, listen to all the "different MCs"... it's actually just him adjusting his voice and flow to give the impression of a supergroup, and he's still doing his own production, etc. Ridiculous. Let me know what you think.

yeah i can get down with that stuff. insight reminds me a lot of mr. lif, probably b/c they used to work together. might i recommend lif's early stuff if you don't already listen to that-"Enters the Colossus" is a favorite of mine. The other artists reminded me of Typical Cats and their first album was great. If you want really dense lyrics, did you ever get into Sole (Anticon)? i can stomach that every now and then. His first album is probably the most listenable, but Bottle of Humans and his third album are quite good as well. And finally i would recommend some Edan. His second album is a masterpiece-"Beauty and the Beat".
