okay so i jsut watched inception for the third time. and i know we can all agree that its one of the greatest movies. butt i cant figure out the end.
any help?
like wtf hapened?
my mind is going nuts

i realize the top spinning lol but my mind id just fucked right now. it gets me everytime

well they showed the top faltering slightly, but never falling. they're leaving it open to the viewer to decide if it was all a dream or not

if you listen at the end the music is normal speed; therefore it wasnt a dream...end of story.

When you watch it, there is a scene in which DeCaprio goes into the bathroom after waking up from a particular disturbing dream. He takes his spinning top out, and spins it on the sink, however, before it falls, the asian guy walks in and he knocks it off of the sink, never knowing if it falls on its own or keeps spinning. and that asian guy saw his totem. THE WHOLE MOVIE IS A LIE

I don't know if it was the greatest movie, but it was entertaining. Very repetitive though.

"Oh no somethings gone wrong in this dream we need to go into the next dream to fix it! oh no now somethings gone wrong in THIS dream! lets go lower!"

wait wait wait is inception out on dvd? i think it was all a dream cuz when he sees his kids again its the same as in his wierd elevator dream thing. That movie was the fucking bomb. SKiing switch in powder in the 3 layer come on NS i can't belive no one has mentioned this yet.

The spinning top isn't his totem. Whenever his is dreaming he has his wedding ring on whenever he isn't dreaming he doesn't. Watch the end we see a close up of his hand without the ring therefor he wasn't dreaming.

It's a lame movie for simpletons.
That being said you should do some research. The easiest answer is that it's up to the viewer to decide, but some people have picked up on some subtle nuances than blow that theory out.

The simple answer is that the entire film is about making film, and that the entire film is a dream, about a film about film, that takes place in a dream. Simple.

^ lol i just lost watching those south park inception parody vids. the guy making the music with his mouth is fuckin jks

I think that is also possible that Cob is in someone else's dream. Possibly Mal's, his dad's, or Saito's. The reason for this is because even in "reality" there are things that are defiantly dream like. First off after all the time that has passed between when Cob leaves his children and when he get back to them at the end, (1 to 2 years) they do not age. Aslo Saito tells Cob to "take a leap of faith" which is the same thing Mal said to him before she killed herself.
The wedding ring theory claims to dismiss all of this. It states that in reality Cob is not wearing a ring, but whenever he is in a dream he has a ring on. This is because his subconscious has not realized Mal's death. But if you believe that he is in a dream the whole time and he doesn't know it, he only has the ring on when he thinks he is dreaming.

yes but look at all the help i got. when really its jsut others people opinions fucking with my mind haha

sooo, basically the movie fucks you in the mindand sooo, basically, its up to you to decide weather or not the top falls over.also, in the begining it shows the end, saito's dream.
