Inception

Really??

I dont think she suited the role at all. She is good in movies like Juno or whatever, but she looks about 12 and i couldn't really take her seriously in it.
 
Wanna know why there are loose ends? Because everything was a dream except when Cobb wakes up in the end.

Inception was about a man sleeping on a plane for 10 hours and dreaming about his family and how his wife's death had been tearing up his heart. He was struggling to come to terms with whatever happened to Mal. When Cobb wakes up at the end, where's the briefcase? Where is the IV tube running into his vein? Every other time we saw someone wake up from a dream, all these key elements were there.

Lastly, Cobb had his wedding ring on at all times except after waking up on the plane. The wedding ring symbolizes Cobb's inability to let go and move on. The top at the end is all red herring.
 
I have to see this movie a second time. I have had so many theories about it and cant seem to figure out what the end is. Every time i read a good one i think thats the truth but then theres a different take that sounds right. FUCK. gotta pay to see it twice now.
 
Not saying you're wrong, but Cobb was in the dream world for at least a few more minutes than everyone else, that would have given them time to pack up the briefcase, etc? I don't know if the briefcase is necessary for a subject to still be dreaming... :S
 
my theory. whole thing is leos dream because at the end his kids are wearing the same clothes as they did in his dreams.
 
also for those complaining how there are plot holes about the movie didn't explain enough how the technology to go into dreams was possible etc etc. in the movie leo told ellen that when you're dreaming you never really knew how the dream started and you can't remember how you got there. when the movie starts you're pretty much thrown into the middle of the plot and you are almost expected to know how the dream stuff works. so im saying that this movie is meant to be viewed as one big dream. i don't know if i did good enough job of explaining that or not but anyone else with me here?
 
But if you were having a shared dream with a bunch of other people, don't you think you would have said something to those very people the second you woke up? And don't you also suppose that everyone else that was already awake would have been at least a bit concerned that you took that much longer to wake up? Granted that the rules lay down a time conversion such that decades in limbo equals a few minutes in real life, but I don't think the "it was all a dream" theory works; Nolan is too much of a genius to go that route and he has too much pride to cheapen his work with that perception.
 
I suppose under normalcircumstances, yes. However, if I were performing a highly illegal act on asubject present in the same room and conscious enough to overhear something…probably not... it could cause the entire inception to backfire. Cobb wouldhave been out for a few seconds/minutes longer (as you mentioned)… and EllenPaige’s character knew he was going into limbo after Saito, so it is possiblethat she could have subtly informed the others.
 
lots of good points about loose ends and stuff but all i know is after i watched it once i felt totally blown away by the idea of it and im watching it again tonight. first movie iv seen this summer with a legit plot
