In Vancouver April 26-30

I'm going for an archaeological conference but I'm ditching out and skiing a day or two during the conference. I don't know how the transportation is around Vancouver to Whistler, or the other resorts close to Vancouver. If anyone is down to go skiing with/give me a tour of your choice resort one of the days (27th-29th) I'd more than appreciate the company - I'm kinda scurred to be out skiing alone in unfamiliar territory/out of the country.

Well, if you go to Horshoe Bay and hitchhike to Whistler in the same fashion as in your profile picture, rest assured that you will quickly obtain a ride and won't be lonely for long.

I leave town and am awfully busy near that time, but I am sure one of the lads on this site can guide you around. But I think you might have a wilder time hitching. You and your guide. ;)

Hahahaha, not worried about being lonely, worried about being burried in an avalanche or falling off a cliff and dying and no one knowing what happened to that American girl. :) And no, I will not be hitchhiking around as portrayed in my self-portrait pic.

Main street skytrain station is a 30 second walk from pacific central station, where a return trip on greyhound from Vancouver to Whistler (roughly 2.5 hours each way) costs 40 dollars or so. Alternatively I will probably make a trip up sometime around then, as it is just after my exams get out... this is especially the case if my school fucks me as it does every year by making me miss WSI in favour of said exams.

ya same here ill prob make a trip up around that time to cuz i don't have school fridays, which is usualy when i go and drive up or ill just be shreding G-mour

Grouse it is for me, it's the closest and most convienient place to get to. I'm stoked, hopefully I make it back to post some pictures. :D Vancouver in t-minus 8 hours.

ya grouse is sick right now but i fucked my leg at whis..... im hoping to be up to grouse this weekend skiing and if not skiing then doing some filming

was up at grouse today

horrible weather, so much snow the jumps were slow and a huge gaperfest at the lifts

park should be ok once they groom it though

^ meh, wasnt really a 'park day' today anyway, slow coastal snow, windy, poor visibility (as usual). some pow chow tomorrow hopefully. i would norally expect spring conditions this time of year

i wanted to do some filming during the showdown over the city (possibly turning into a snakedown over the city) but gah, i sold my cam and havent gotten been able to get the one i want. that gap to 40' box thing is nuts - it might even take some...

Grouse was siiiiiiick. I had a great time last night, lots of fresh snow, and THANK YOU WONDERFUL CANADIAN LOCALS! You guys are awesome. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful and the conditions rocked. A nice guy rode up with me on the lift and we hit up some out-of-bounds tree night skiing. I can't wait to come back, I love Vancouver, and the people aren't bad either. :)

Unfortunately my camera died when I was taking the Seabus over so I have no shots of any snow or skiing.
