'In the park' vibes/energy

What?
Anyone who finds park vibes "negative" is a pussy and is probably easily intimidated by others, and/or is constantly comparing themselves to others and coming up short in their own minds, therefore literally creating the negative vibes that they're bitching about.
I've been in parks all over the place and if you show respect, are friendly, responsible, safe, and courteous, the park is an unbelievably positive and upbeat place. If you're stoked on other people riding and progressing, it shows, and regardless of your skill or level, 99% of the other kids are gonna push and hype you up.
Clap poles, throw high fives, smile, whoop it up, daffy a 60ft'er, die on a ride on flat box, spray a bro, call drop, let the good times roll.
Only pre-pubescent children do the whole mean to strangers thing as a defense mechanism. Let your balls drop, let your dick swing, and give 'er. The proverbial 'er I mean, not your dick, that'd be weird.

yeah killington is great in this aspect. park scene is super fun. everyones friends with everyone even if you dont really know them. the parks arent really anything special but the people there make up for it. but i love sugarbush too. good and bad things about both mountains.

dude this is not really true, tremblant has a pretty shitty vibe compared to my hill edelweiss (in my opinion)
we are all friends at edel, here is an exampleCourtesy of Newschoolers.com/static/images/flash_video_placeholder.png

come to 7 springs, if you can slide a rail, make it past the knuckle, or are remotely chill then you're set. god forbid you sidejump though, the wrath of the entire park will rain down upon you.

I totally agree with this. My home mountain is Sugarbush and i'm not a park rat.So when i come into the park i do my thing and throw 7's 270's on and doing well and having fun. But then you see those assholes in the saga gear that think they're the shit and talk smack. Its just obnoxious and i always feel like i can't fall or someone will make fun of me. it blows...

IMO, tremblant is kinda "hit and miss". Wish i could make it out to edel more often, but my rents hate it and i don't have my g2 yet so their my transportation to the hill.

On another note, mont cascades has a terribly vibe.

shitty/young skiers = bad attitudes, like to act tough

most people in park =shitty, young skiers

therefore, most people in park = bad attitudes, like to act tough

and this is coming from the best skier on this site

Actually, vibe is awesome on monday nights when their open till 3am, probably the most fun i've ever had skiing other than pow at whistler.

really i'v always felt that parks were nice places to chill... never felt tenseness or anything. i always try and talk to kids that are hitting the same features i am or working on similiar tricks and iv made some good friends this way.

I totally disagree dude, my crew and I pick up new kids all the time, just ask them about what trick they're trying or about their gear and boom, friends.

damn, I guess 7 springs is just a ton more chill than any other resort because theres such a positve vibe and everyone is always so stoked on each other!

it can be hard for people to talk to someone when they are wearing blacked out cbars and a bandana. i feel like i'm just trying to ignore people when i have my face covered. to get better vibes in the park take off the bandana and talk to people, smile, don't just thug out.

For sure. When i ski park, i learn from everyone skiing. I watch other people hit features, and get inspired. At moonlight, I was chillin and happened to come up behind this big crew. Some of em got all puffed up and started reppin their suburb roots. Kids were serious FAAAAAAAAAAAAAGOTS....

just have fun, and fuck em, its for you.

At my mountain their are 3 different crews, but we all know each other and we will ski with each other so I don't feel that negative vibe.

where i ride its not to big of a problem, but you just gotta be the star of the trend. get the vide started by just being super open. people will start to fallow, it wont be an imediate change but it will progress
