is is true than fatter people fall down from the air at a faster rate when they are in the air rather than lighter people. if it is i g2 start exercsing
 
Everything falls at the same speed, some just have faster acceleration. Its called Terminal velocity, everything when droped, if had a unlimited area to drop, would reach it.
 
As you may learn later in school. All objects fall at the same rate due to the force of gravity being a constant. Only air resistance changes this. You need to invest in something to increase your vertical air resistance, like an umbrella or motorised helecopter hat.
 
heavier objects don't accelerate more quickly...or else they wouldn't be falling at the same spped.

This is untrue. Acceleration and rate of fall are the same no matter the mass of the object. Terminal Velocities are the maximum speeds reached when in freefall. These change due to each objects air resistance not size or weight.
 
Oh i was just guessing, ive never got physics and never have taken it, well its good to know.
 
some guy way back when prooved that lighter objects fall at the same speed by dropping something the size of a bowling ball and something like a baseball from a high height and they hit the ground at the same time
 
Everthing accelerates at the same rate in free fall. If you take two objects such as a penny and feather and drop them at the same height the penny will hit the ground first because or air resistance. But if you frop a feather and a penny in a vacuum they will hit the ground at the same time.
 
yeah but that's not his point. he meant that beeing bigger won't make you fall faster. no air resistance in this case
 
not according to newton remeber the weight adnthe feather fall the same, at least i think so, fuckin newton got me all confused or maybe it was the apple i was struck in the head with
 
it's crazy how a pencil and a bowling ball will fall at the same time and hit the ground at the same time
 
well becuase were talking about a much shorter distance then required to reach terminal velocity... so yes fater people fall faster in the air
 
its all about air resistants, take a peice of paper and crumple it up, then take another peice of paper and leave it normal, drop them from somewhere at the same time and you will see that the normal paper will take longer to fall because of the resistans, if you take a baseball and a crumpled paper and drop them at the same time, they will both hit the dround at the same time
 
They fall down at approx. the same rate, but the force of hitting the ground is much harder since their mass is bigger.
 
It's like this: in vacuum the feather and the bowling ball will fall down at the same speed... but guess which one you won't want landing on your head.
