In regards to slow shipping...

Starting and running the NS Store was a huge challenge and learning experience for me, as I had no prior experience with what running an online store consists of, and each day I continue to make mistakes which I try to learn from in order to keep the customers happy and coming back.

Unfortunately during IF3 I took on too many responsibilities and allowed what should be my first priority, the NS Store, to slip. I overextended myself and my capabilities in the last month, trying hard to get many things done instead of focusing on getting one thing done properly. I worked on getting new products in the store (and there are still more to come), redesigning the layout of the store, organizing ticket and hotel sales for IF3, along with plenty of other tasks that had to be done before and during the festival.

Was it worth it? It's hard to say. I know people were stoked on how IF3 turned out, and I know people love seeing new products in the store, but in turn I feel like I have betrayed loyal customers of the store. I really want the store to succeed, and in my opinion success is not possible without having customers happy with their purchase. I feel like a total ass knowing it has taken over a month for a couple orders to be shipped, and I consider myself 100% accountable for this fact.

However things are going to change for the better, very soon. I plan on putting in 15 hour days if I have to in order to ensure that all these late orders get shipped out ASAP. IF3 is over so no longer will I be spending countless hours each day on that. We have changed around the office a bit to better accommodate the store. We plan on dropping a new layout very soon, which will have exact shipping costs, and I plan on creating a shipping deadline that if not met will mean free shipping on your order.

I have also realized that I need help with my multiple tasks which consist of but are not limited to, printing stickers, cutting stickers, processing orders, packing orders, shipping orders (showing up at the post office with 60 packages is a nightmare), ordering new products, managing inventory and cashflow, dealing with customers questions, and many other tasks not even related to the store. I will be handing a few of my responsibilities off to other admins, along with hire an intern to help deal with everyone's overflow

Please don't take any of this as an excuse for late shipping, but more of an explanation of how I learned from my mistakes and what I plan to do in order to prevent them from happening in the future. If you want a refund on your order, send me a pm with your order number and I will get you your money back right away. Again, I am sorry for everything and plan on making it up to you guys from this point on.

 
Dude its chill. I know atleast for me you've been super quick to respond to my PM's whenever I bug you about my order. Even though it's been +3 months for me since I placed my order I still understand why, and try to just be patient. And I think I can speak for everyone on NS that we know everyone is super busy and we'll just have to be patient!
 
We're going to work on it as a team to make sure that we can fulfill your orders as rapidly as is possible. Its a learning process for us, but we're going to get it figured out together!

Ya Im glad you went ahead and wrote this, I knew you were busy with all that kind of stuff but when it came down to it 2 months was too slow of shipping for me and I didnt order a few things because of that. But when I did finally get my stuff I was stoked on it.. I got the basic stickers back in july but when i got it I got the standard, plus a dino sticker, plus some extra vinyl and randoms, plus 2 ns laynards which I thought was sick and give props to you..

Glad the shipping will be getting faster, may see more orders out of me..
 
its totally understandable. for me its not the fact that its slow. im just curious if it is stuck somewere and will eventually show up, or if i need to get a refund.

i understand it took almost 3 months for my frist tee this spring but I knew you guys ahd other shit. and yeah props for taking the responsibility
 
Much respect for this, people and companies never say anything about late shipping and it makes people mad. And this definitely shows you care a lot about the NSers ordering things. Mistakes always happen and as long as you learn from them I see no problem.
 
im not going to lie, i was starting to get a little antzy when i didnt get my stickers for a bit, but was I going to bitch and complain to the site I go on the most? no, and knowing that all of the ns staff is working super super hard at everything from IF3 to the site to all the other stuff, so keep it up guys and i look for ward to getting more shtufff
 
At the same time as Jason's manning up pretty big here, you guys need to come to some understandings about NS.com, the store and the people working to get you the goods you desire. This is one hard-working dude who's trying to fit taking orders, dealing with money, setting up packages, shipping stuff out to you guys and catching drunken strippers in his lap into a day's work. Not to mention it's often cross-border shipping, and strippers are heavier than you might think. So give him a little bit of breathing room and understanding, because we're not quite on amazon.com here. The practice of ordering something on thursday and messaging on tuesday all worked up because your stuff hasn't gotten there yet really needs to be put to rest... I know it's not everyone by any means, but y'know. Be understanding, and the more time goes by, the more orders come in, the more skrill is re-invested in improving the store along with the site, the more streamlined this process becomes. Have faith, NS won't let you down.
 
The people at the post office are going to hate me tomorrow, I've been busting my balls for the past 5 days and I have about 100 or so packages and a good 50 envelopes I'll be shipping out tomorrow!

I'm hoping to be fully caught up by Friday, and I'll keep you guys posted on what's what....

i understand IF3 stuff should take priority so im not too worried about the wait, as long as my shui comes sumtime ill be happy

you guys are doing a good job thats a lot of work to manage
 
lol dude they look at you like you're from another planet it's awesome!

when we were dealing with Canada Post last year it was hilarious when our big (and I mean big) pre-orders came in there would be me driving down to the post office with about 50 parcels in the bed of my pick-up truck and about 30 in the back of my boss' suv plus 100 or so envelopes. after we put about 20 packages in the mail slot the post office workers would start looking through the mail slot at us like WTF?

thanks for the update, you guys all rock. is this the first time anyone has taken ful reposibility for their actions on this site? haha kidding, but you guys got lots of stuff on your plate, and still manage to pull it off.

sounds like the store is doing sick. cant complain about slow shipping I know ill get what I ordered. although all I ordered was stickers so thats a little faster than movies I'd imagine.
 
A little update...

I shipped out a good 200+ orders last week, and should have all the rest of them out by Friday!

As for the ski movies, they should be arriving this week, and as soon as they do they will be going right back out the door to you guys. This isn't the case with all the movies though, since some only start shipping to distributors mid October, but rest assured they will be shipped out as soon as we get them!

You'll be notified by email when your order has been processed, and also when your order has been shipped.
 
Wow I had no idea. I was going to buy ski movies from you guys but bought them from getboards cause I was worried I would never get them, but now I understand IF3 must have been hell. Thanks for all your hard work. That's gonna be so funny at the post office tomorrow. Take pictures. I put your karma all the way up (like you need it) but it's the least I could do.
 
Dude wtf I placed my order on August 27th and just got my notification today. What gives?

Haha nah i'm just kidding. I'm pretty sure everyone on NS appreciates what you guys are doing for us, whether we say it or not. Many of us, myself included, have no problem waiting for our NS loot. Knowing that we have the opportunity to finally get NS stuff after having to wait the last couple years is definitely worth it.

Having a little small business online store experience myself I know how big of a job it can be. 15 hour days? Don't push yourself too hard, we don't want you guys getting burned out!
 
Thats very sick, hope i'll got my scarf soon! But no stress I think that everybody here are able to wait when they know that what they ordered his super sick and represent what they love.
