In need of tips and advice for new ski selection

Hi! I am in need of advice and suggestions for my new skis. My likings for the new skis are that they would be flexible and buttery and would suit an intermediate park skier (3s, 5s, 2s out) I actually already ordered these skis (Armada arv 84 171) https://www.blue-tomato.com/en-GB/product/Armada-ARV+84+171+N+L10+2022+Ski+Set-650833/. But then i got hesitated about this selection because my current skis are beat up Völkl Revolt 95 173 from 2017. I am 187cm and 85kg, skied for about 8 years. I mainly ride park and also like to go to the woods and just jib around the where I can.

The main consern of mine is that are the arv 84 too narrow if i like to go to the woods and off piste. Also is these skis more suited for beginners? And should i consider more lengthier skis?

Sorry for the messy text, hope you can understand my thought process!

Bro you gotta get some longer skis. Like 180 is the smallest you should go. If you want something soft and buttery the arv series isn't the way to go, they're all stiffer. Look at something like the reckoner 102, vishnu wide 189 or a similar ski.

Thanks! I cancelled the order on those arv's, bit of an excitement before the season kicked in. Yeah i checked that in vishnus site there were no skis yet to buy but i will keep looking. The lenght i will take notice of and buy longer ones. What do you think of some of lines skis? Honey badger, chronic or blend for example? I would like that the skis is also relatively light/easy to spin.

good call cancelling the arv 84s, those are fine but a little skinny and short for what you said you want and yeah they're kind of a price point ski

i say get some arv 96s, they're a great do-it-all ski and they come in a 184 which should be good for you

i'm not a big line fan anymore but the chronics would be a good option too, yeah

Do not get honey badgers, they’re kids’ skis. Chronics and Blends are both good options but personally if only had one pair I would get the Chronics. I’ve been skiing Chronics for 5 years and they’re perfect for the stuff you said you wanted to do. Blends are softer and not as versatile. Chronics are also buttery enough especially at your weight. You should get the 185 model.

*just gonna add that if the Chronics are easy to butter for me, they’re definitely easy to butter for you as well since I’m 186 and over 10kg lighter than you.

if you want a ski that you'll love everywhere and will hold up for you, check out ON3P stuff. The classic 1 ski quiver is about 100 underfoot and I believe mango is going to have a 100 underfoot ski this year to replace the magnus. That thing would kill any terrain.

Also check out the 4FRNT Switch. Its 99 underfoot and looks like a pretty sweet ski:
