Next season I’ll be at college in Springfield ma, berkshire east is ass and I’m not sure if it’s worth an hour and a half to get to jimminy although being able to ski Bromley and Cranmore with the pass is a good deal, who has a good park and a reasonable pass price relatively close?

Butternut is an hour away and has a sick park especially later in the season. Mount Snow is an hour and half away and Carinthia is firing RN compared to the previous years so if the pattern continues is should be sick next year.

Bosquet is an hour away and has a super cool park this year and there pass also has Berkshire East on it.

I'm in pretty much the same location as you and my current setup is:

Work at Berkshire East so I can get a free pass to there and Bosquet and then buy an epic local pass for $500 which lets me ski Carinthia. This way I only ski Mount snow Early Season and after mid February when its less busy with better conditions and then work most of January at Berkshire where I can also build whatever I want in the park as long as there is snow.

Even though Berkshire East barely has parks (We have the crew to build them they just wont blow snow for us or give us cat time) that mountain is super sick when it snows. The trails are all pretty steep for how small the mountain is and there are a bunch of cliffs and big side hits. On top of that its never busy so definitely go there on powder days.

A clip of my buddy hitting a big gap drop thing on a pow day and a clip of me hitting a weird up bar to corrugated we built when we were board

I wanna say I’ve hit that drop before. The mtn itself isn’t that bad but I’ve never been there and had good snow and a lot of the people there are pricks too but I’ll definitely consider that

I’d never pay for a pass there but being a ski instructor there has been the good experience. It pays well and the management is really nice

I’ve never paid to go there either, is management still good regarding park crew or liftys?

Yeah I don’t know the lift crew manager but he sounds chill and the head of park crew is super cool but only like 10% of park crew actually worked this year because they never blew enough snow for us to build more then a few features. I also did a fair amount of work on the parks because I would just fix up the lips and then fill out lessons slips to get paid.

yeah dude ive only been to berkshire east a couple times visiting friends but i thought 1) this mtn uses its height well, instead of cutting up the fall line like a lot of places and 2) this place would be sick after a storm

As much as I hate to recommend supporting vail, mount snow if probs the move.

Snow totals in mass have been pretty bad in years past and most of the smaller hills mentioned above don't open as early and stay open as late as carinthia. Depends how often you are looking to ski. Do you want to deal with weekends at Carinthia? If I had an unlimited amount of cash I'd probably do epic northeast pass and butternut. Butternut has a solid setup but they definitely were slower to get the full park up this year due to it all being man made snow. Rip to blandford
