In a bind with AR6s (another length question...)

I hate to ask another length question, but I have to make choice on this, and its a tough one.

I'm looking to get my first pair of new park skis in like 5 years. I found a pair of 08 AR6s at my local shop for $299, so I was pumped. But they are 171s.

I am about 5'7" and 140lbs. I'm a pretty small guy, is this length going to be too short? I know its all about preference and all that, but for those that have ridden the AR6s, how do they flex on the snow? How are YOUR lengths for your weight/height?

I've owned everything from 185 original Pocket Rockets to 177 Karmas to my current skis which are 3rd gen (old) 1080s. I did like the long 185 PRs, but at the same time I found the 177 Karmas heavy and bulky.

I'll use the skis for about 40% park and the rest all over. Any thoughts? That seems like a pretty good price, if only they had the 176s.

they might be fine for you. it depends on if you are still growing. if you arent, which it sounds like your not by your previous skis, or you just like really long skis when compared to your height. they are kinda soft so they may be a little short. sounds like a good deal though, i would hit that up

they will be fine for park but all mtn is gonna suffer. still your small enough and its a pretty good deal i would do it unless you hate shorter skis

i would find another shop to get them, you need 176's at the least, especially if not skiing 100% park.

That being said they are a great ski and if money is that big of an issue 171's will do the job, but i would mount atleat 2-3cm back.
