Improving cork 7 on tramp

I’ve been trying to learn a cork 7 on tramp for a few weeks now and am pretty consistent at landing on my feet. But, when I watch the videos, I always go corked too early. Here are a few attempts.

But I didn’t obviously land it then. Does anyone have any tips for improving it?

Basically a variation of what the other folks said, you wanna keep your chest and head up, not throw them down. Try this: do some sets (just a 3 to your back), but try to use your lead hand to point up and back, like 8 o'clock, but pointing more toward the sky. Then use your lead hand as the line of sight for where your head should be when you set the spin.

Doesnt look like a very springy tramp, but if you flail less you should be able to get a little more height, which will help more. I know, easier said than done, but with more height you'll have an easier time improving

I’m at the same level of trampoline corks,,, how do you take it from tramp to snow without dying? Lol

I spent like a slushy spring week crashing on every single cork 7 attempt. But 99% of them were landing on my side or even feet and just falling over. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and nobody could help me but it didn't really hurt at all. I'm not recommending you huck yourself silly, but the way you will likely crash learning cork 7 isn't very painful and I think you should just send it if the snow is softer than concrete

make sure your feet and chest come up first. If you have a mork or rork it won't go to snow usually. Also make sure you have really good lift and can spin upright easily on really big jumps.

I dont want to make a new forum but i also am having a issue with cork 7, so i spin to the left and when I throw my cork i move to the right when spinning left, any help? i just need help staying in the middle and not moving in the air

You have a rork. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, if it's bad enough though it will screw you over on snow. If you want to stay in the same place try to imagine your carving to the left and get your hips over more in the beginning. You could also do more cork sets where you try to land on your back at 3 and not 450 or 5.

Here’s a progress update if anyone is interested. I’ve tried to listen to all of the feedback, but I’m sure it still could be better. (edit: sorry the video is sideways)

Solid cork sev

Progress is good! If you pause right as you take off on the trick, you can see that your lead hand is still dropping down. This will make your 7's on jumps feel slung and flippy. If you wanna get that floaty, poppy cork sev down, try to set the trick up and back, not down. Literally point up and back with that lead hand, and follow it with your head. It will feel weird at first, but when it starts to click you'll be able to choose what axis you rotate on, and really slow down whatever part of the trick you want. Also kind of a necessity if you wanna go dub 10 later on.

If you ever get around to it, practicing a really good straight jump up with your legs straight and butt flexed will get you more air. And straight arms pumping with full range of motion will add stability. Its very debatable cause you wont learn to pop a 7 on skis by mimicking what is on tramp. But you are gonna have to get enough air to practice hitting your neutrals eventually. Hitting neutrals lets you go for more grabs without shitting on your pop.

Is the info above total shit? If so I wanna know

I tried to point up. I’m not sure if this looks much better though. I also threw in one with a grab, but I didn’t focus the same way on setting up.

If you force yourself to pop once, take one legit tramp jump, then send the trick you’ll save way more energy and gain more confidence because you will realize you don’t need a perfect set, your body will naturally adapt for the most part

obviously if u feel totally mangled don’t send it but you will save more energy

Dude yes, this is it! It probably looks about the same on the trampoline, but I promise this will make it feel way more natural on snow. I think the best thing to work on now would be not winding up your arms. when you preload your trick by winding up your arms, you're setting yourself up to take off unbalanced. The goal should be to get all the power from your hips and your core and your chest, and your arms are free to help you make little tweaks, or cap ur blunt. But overall, this is a big improvement from the first video! It's be noticeable on skis when instead of hucking the trick downward and slinging it around, you can get that strong upward pop, set high, and be in control of your rotation + give yourself time to spot your landing.
