Regardless of whether you think patcole is right or wrong, I think he's making a stand for what is right. Mods do the best we can, sometimes we fuck up, most of the time we're right. Sometimes it comes down to opinion- por ejemplo, I don't think that an entire thread dedicated to pointlessly ripping someone deserves to be on the boards, whereas I probably wouldn't delete a thread on shaving pubic hair. Enough said.

All I have to say to the people complaining about censorship is QUITCHERBITCHIN. I have never had a post deleted unless I asked for it to be deleted. You're posts and threads will only be deleted when you do dumb shit.

i agree that targeting particular people in a hatefull way is not cool, but as long as the shit aint porn or has some sorta legal shit goign on with it why bother taking it down, and let the moderators do there job, who cares if they abuse it abit, nearly every1 with power has abused it in some way or another, and these guys arnt abusing there power in any major way, they cant possibly abuse there power in a major way, unless they are in with politics in a big way

The site owners ask you to become a mod, or you may get recommended by another mod.

I have been one for over a year now, and I only delete posts/threads if they are obscene or offensive. I have had to become a lot more liberal, and not delete everything I personally deem offensive. Chances are, if I find it really bad, so will other people. The only difference is that we can delete offensive things for the betterment of the site. We wouldn't delete things just because we don't like a person, there has to be a reason and some responsibility behind it.
