so i was at my local mountain and there was a kid riding vishnus with neon pivots. I asked him to do a 3 but he didnt know what that was. I was getting suspicious because he had a columbia jacket and arctica pants. And then when i asked about his skis he just replied “idk my dad bought them for me”? wtf is with this kid??? possible amogus importer?

I imagine this *story is made up but if not holy shit OP you are the mountainkid-iest mountain kid that ever mountain kid-ed

Honestly makes me happy seeing racers choose something other than a full camber 2x4 as a park ski.

Tbf there's some skiers who just prefer a stiff as fuck boot, doesn't mean dude's a racer just because he runs race boots

pretty sure he and his buddy next to him switched skis, notice the full-tilts, NS sticker and race skis.

Racers have a good background and progress well into other areas don’t forget

why did you ask him to do a 3 for you that's kinda weird

Everyone knows that 'do a backflip'! is the only acceptable demand on the hill. And god damnit, when someone tells you to do a backflip, you do a damn backflip!

I saw a dude in the parking lot with brakeless tech bindings on a pair of wets. Wish I could have taken a picture. Taking the new wave into the backcountry???

or he just doesnt want the extra weight when doing technical swaps on rails, that is the reason why they are called tech bindings

Obviously he doesn’t need brakes, his skis don’t pop off and get lost, he’s too good to eat shit

This is actually my dream back country set up.

Honestly hope mainstream “imposter” skiers dump all the money they have into companies like Vishnu to pile up fat stacks for new video projects which, in turn, continues to drive the progression of skiing. Then, after the money is made, they return to their Rossignol S7 ways, never to enter the freeskiing bubble again.

poor park skier dude that has to take his ski off in the liftline to move.....Its almost like there are metal sticks you can hold in your hands to make that easier..Weird.

Maybe dude broke a binding?

I was picturing my home mountain, it’s inverted in the sense you ski down and take a lift back to top, so I see why most wouldn’t get what I was saying

i dont know anyone who loads the lift with a broken binding, but thats just me
