What is teh best way to import video from a video camera to the computer's hard drive? I usually use Windows Movie Maker. But, when i am trying it with this, it comes off all distorted and pixellated. What program to you use? Thanks for the help.

dont use windows movie maker for importing footage. Its pixelated because it automatically compressed it. Depending on what you can get your hands on, use a legit program to capture; i would recommend Adobe Premiere, but there are a handful of other programs that will work too. Just make sure that your capturing raw avi in the highest quality settings from that DV tape. Hope it helps....

get your hands on adobe preimere and get yourself a Firewire to capture the vids to your computer. After that, it's all gravy!!

i found something that said compression, but after trying all the choices, its still all pixellated and shitty... what can i do so i can get the video off the camera, in normal quality?
