Impeaching of Cheney and Possibly Bush 2007

Bush is done. Dems control the senate and the house, and any radical legislation he might try to pass will get squashed. He's a second term president in his 7th and 8th year, we're not going to see much out of him from now on anyways.

BULLSHIT. Have you not been paying attention? Hes trying like a little bitch RIGHT NOW to get like 40 billion dollars for his gay ass troops so they can all drive new humvees....and if the house puts a 'pull-out' (lol I said pull out) date on the bill, he says its an "instant veto".

well veto this bitch (bends bush over...lol)

Yeah, thats pretty much what I said.... any crazy legislation he will try pass will finally be reviewed and torn apart by the house or senate.

yea I understand what you are saying, but the scary thing is, he wont fucking back down....and all of his claims honestly just sound inhuman...its scary .

waste of time and energy - sure it'll cool symbolically, but an impeachment process would run far longer than they both have in office and with their abilities to petition and stall the process in general, we'll be voting on our next president before it's worked out.

Articles of impeachment are being given to congress today (or later this week, not positive on the date) by Dennis Kucinich. As much as I think Cheney should be impeached, I agree with the person who said "There is as much a chance of cheney being impeached as there is having a President Kucinich". It just won't happen, as much as I think it should.

Now, with some of the new investigations that have been launched, new evidence may very well turn up that makes it a much more plausible thing, but as it stands right now, although a step in the right direction in my opinion, that's the only thing it is.

i hate bush and i hate democrats. i have an odd stance. its very similiar to most old military generals. your either in or your out. there will always be escalation in battle and military conflicts will never be minor. although ive opposed the war i support the boys over there and believe that we should do whatever necessary to wrap this shit up and get the fuck outta there.

I hate almost all politicians, either side of the aisle. I am without a doubt a very liberal person, but there are definitely things I think conservatives are right about. The problem is these days it's become a left or right thing, there is no middle. god damnit I hate politicians.

the good thing about our country's politics, though, is that our left and right wings are pretty close together, as opposed to those countries with right wing facist parties and left wing communist parties. There's really no point to this response, just trying to shed a little bit of optimism.

i also like melvis ^ stance. i would say thats very close to me. i voted democrat to send those dickheads in washinton packing. but what america really needs is a legitimate third party. that will really solve alot of problems. but will almost be impossible to achieve.

Just because some state senate decided to lobby their congressman to try and impeach bush doesn't mean it's gonna happen. If you read the first article, it said the congressmen rejected the call.

You see, they know that impeaching Bush right now would just be stupid, since he's got just over a year left with a democratic majority in the house and senate. He can't do anything significant other than stall bills with his vetoes.

Now if any of the current investigations find some solid evidence against Bush and Cheney, they might go through with it, depending on how persuasive the evidence is. But unless they find something that could guarantee them a quick case, don't expect it to happen.

fuck you you ignorant asshole! dont call the people fighting for your freedom gay and dont give him shit for tying to cut down on the casualty count that you fucking complain about. you are so uneducated about the war it is unbelievable! jesus, just go outside or something. stop talking politics.

I don't know, I guess it'll be good to impeach him because he did do illegal things. But as it goes for the spending on new hummers in Iraq, it's because they are driving around very vulnerable hummers as of right now. So to put a price on our troops' lives is very fucking stupid of you.

LOL!!!!!! wow dude...

They won't get impeached, the elections are soon, by the time impeachment happened it'd be time to elect the new prez.

On a political note, everyone should go to http://www.comedycentral.com/motherload/player.jhtml?ml_video=83220&ml_collection=&ml_gateway=&ml_gateway_id=&ml_comedian=&ml_runtime=&ml_context=show&ml_origin_url=%2Fshows%2Fthe_daily_show%2Fvideos%2Fjon_stewart%2Findex.jhtml&ml_playlist=&lnk=&is_large=true and go to Daily Show/Colbert to watch Jon Stewart's interview with McCain.

almost all politicians are sneaky douchbags who don't really care about making things better, but only about furthering their own career. a memo from bush leaked that said they had to do whatever the "loyal bushies" wanted the administration to do. isn't the president supposed to do whats best for the entire country, not just a bunch of stupid inbred rednecks who voted for him. but, a lot of the dems are just as creepy. *cough*nancy pelosi*cough* (that bitch never changes her facial expression)

the whole country is jacked whether a dem or rep is running. that is why when i graduate i am migrating to canada or norway.

Not with such pessimism it won't. Do you think that people were expecting blacks to have equal rights before MLKjr and others stood up and did something?

I know you don't like VT, but you should come to UVM sometime; that might fill you with a bit of hope for young people in regards to activism.

bernie sanders is awesome, the only self proclaimed socialist in the US that is in government. yeah i hope that in more liberal states more activism would be going on.

that's not what I meant, but sure that's cool if you like him. I meant that the student body at UVM is pretty active when it comes to protests, marches, etc.

yeah i know what you are saying, and yes that is awesome. i guess where i live no body does anything and at times it can suck to think everyone around me are a bunch of mindless idiots.

he could also cut down the casualty count through many other optioins, instead of more spending on a pointless cause.

if i lived in vermont, whether i was democrat or republican, i would be pissed that my state legislature is using resources to pursue a worthless endeavor. this is so transparent. these people are trying to jump on the hate-bush bandwagon in the hopes of getting re-elected.

Jon Stewart is absolutely my favorite person who has any say on politics in the public arena...

His questions to McCain about the war are absolutely everything that needs to be asked, and never is, his opinion essentially bomb-proof... He's the voice of the population to the elite.

I wish he would run for office.

word... took to long to get to this point.. how many years has it been? 7? maybe everyone should vote barak obma in.. or whatever his name is

totally melves.

america totally lost respect for its leader starting with watergate. how can we be a strong nation if we are divided on our feelings towards the leader of our country. i may only be 17 but i would like to always respect the leader of my country. he has the most stressful job in the world and why should some no nothing whos bitching about absolutly nothing be given the right to even want him impeached. The president of the United states has done more for us than you'd imagine and he deserves your respect. also would you like to be the president, why do you think he wanted to be president. I think that he thought he could make the world a better place. I am an american and i stand behind president bush even if i do not agree with the decisions that he makes, he is still my leader.

A little out of the political spectrum but i cannot stand the people who are waiting for a change and feel like becsue they want it then it should happen. I say if you want change then you should get off your ass and do something. just one vote or signing one petition won't help your cause. if you want change and you want it now you just get fully involved in politics.

I don't think the case for bushes impeachment is strong enough. he lied on this. he lied on that. he lied again... i don't think its big enough. in truth you put in him there and you should have to deal with his decisions. as a whole americans who cared for change put him in there. he must have been the best choice. So back to impeachment. if my memory serves me right the congress serves as the jury for impeachment. I don't think they will get it anyway unless somebody is not voting heart first.

i feel like there is another aruement i'm missing here.

but hey lets put a call for the NS political spectrum cult. let some names. i know there will be some strongly opionated people who will want in.

the argument that you are missing is how ridiculous you sound. so we should all sit around and match the prez do a terrible job and we should respect him because it is a hard one? first of all i dont think he took the job to make the world a better place, i think he took the job to make him and his supporters have a better place to live. i think you should learn what he has done to the economy and the people of this country. the worst thing yet he has ruined the reputation of the american people. so why dont you quit listening what your parents are spewing to you and get a clue.

yea who would want to fund troops? lets just leave them with old and brocken equipment so they can die faster instead of giving them a fighting chance cause it is obvious he isnt gonna pull out
