Impact shorts, hip pads

Which ones do you guys use? I was thinking of picking up some of these g forms but they're pretty expensive as are all the other ones with vpd. but I'm tired of hurting my hips skating and I'd probably wear them skiing too. I already have g forms elbow pads which i like and they have more padding on them then the burton ones they have on evo. there's these too but i don't know if the extra butt pad are worth 50 bucks since I don't think i fall there ever. not skiing at least, maybe if i fell on a handrail while skating.

I ski a lot of rails and icy park jumps, so I bought some last season. I'm riding in the POC vpd 2.0 shorts. I didn't think they would do too much but they were probably one of the best things I've ever bought. I don't have to deal with bloody hips and hip rash anymore, and the tail bone protector has literally saved my ass a few times.

Of all of the crash shorts they definitely offer the most coverage, but I think they're also the most expensive. I love mine though.

they're less expensive than the g forms ones and they look like they cover more of your lower thigh. I wish I could see exactly where all the pads are in it but those look like a good option too.

I have the exact same ones. They are a bit uncomfortable. But breaking or bruising a hip is much more uncomfortable. I sometimes where a back protector also from poc. Probably saved a broken collar bone last year from breaking. I landed on my back and it broke two years ago, same type of crash and wind was just knocked out. I suggest you get a back protector and maybe a mouthgaurd. They are a sense of security that I cannot ski without even though they may not completely protect you.

Do they make women's shorts like this? I can't find any and I need some because I like having hips

couldn't you just wear the dude ones? I mean it's not like they come with a integrated cup or anything

I have the G form ones and I can vouch, super good material in the pads, I tested a few before commiting to those. They are very low profile too. I did remove the thigh pads but it was easy, and i think they offer them without now.
