You know... it's kind of odd how much imotionski.com resembles mauiimedia.com. Actually, it's very obvious that whoever 'designed' the website for imotionski.com ripped off NS' beloved Mike La Anyane (Mauii)'s website.

I'm not sure if it was Zach Hellmuth who stole the site, or if someone else stole it for him, but this is some dirty, low down stuff. If there are any hackers out there... please have a go at this one.

I don't think sueing is in play here, I just think it's pretty lame that the guy stole the layout. I wouldn't take it as a compliment if someone stole my layout because they're getting hits and compliments off my ideas, and I bet Mauii feels the same way.

Well hello, i managaed to get a computer.

The website is not a template..it's a design i spent a couple of weeks redesigning and developing untill i liked it. The reference in the code is left in as a courtesy to the person who wrote the javascript for my drop down menues.

As you can see, it's a credit for a small snippet of generic java designed for public use. it's use is permitted in exchange for a simple reference to them in your code.

I think its prety low to rip off a persons website. And if your going to do it.. at least rip off a website of someone that doesnt deal with things in the SAME industry as you.

This kid didnt ask. Infact.. he slapped on his own unregistered (and therefor useless) copyright overtop of MY design. I think thats kinda a kick in the teeth that he put his own little thing on there.

Luckily i have the disign registered by the copyright office, so i am protected and, if i wanted to, could do something about it. It's not that big of a deal though. If he wants to steal my design, I'll just come up with something bigger and better. It's a shame that i have to spend my own valuable time doing more work than I have to though.

As to the dotster thing at the top of his source code, I don't think so. Such a 'Template' doesnt exist on that website.

go to dotster and look at the designs they have - they're far more involved and structurally complex than mauii's design. that and his design isn't even up there in the first place.

i don't think i would worry about it man. just ignore what he did. there are always sum sites that have the same templates, and whether they copied it or not on purpose, i wouldn't make a big deal bout it. unless u actually have a copyright for it and if he actually did take the same exact 1, just write to him or sumthing

he took the exact code. my little brother was over there when they made and he said that zach just took the code right from maui's site and changed it up to his needs.

He definitely popped out of his binding there, the heelpiece is ejecting, its slanted outwards. Plus you can see the boot being launched out to, theres a huge gap between skis and the boot. Kind of funny, it looks like he ate shit on that rail.
