After seeing the hate thread about Saga's customer service I thought I'd share how happy I was with their customer service from and few weeks ago and hopefully cheer Saga up a bit!

1) I preordered Jacket and Pants

2) Postage to the UK was free (FREE!)

3) Dispatched on the day Saga said preorders would be dispatched

4) Came the day after (Next day international shipping, is that even physically possible!?)

5) Free set of braces, I don't need them because I actually buy pants my size (but still, FREE BRACES!)

6) Stickers (everyones likes stickers!)

You are the kind of company every dad wishes his daughter will end up buying from!

I'm the creator of this so called "hate thread". Let me make it clear:

I don't hate Saga for their apparel, in fact I don't even hate them at all. I just wanted to address the issue that they weren't very good with their communication and their shipping took forever (compared to what they advertised). The gear I got from them is superb, I still like my Virtika stuff better, but the Saga stuff is still pretty fresh.

I preordered a hoodie from saga and got it the same week they were shipped out, which I was stocked about. But when it got here I noticed it didn't fit correctly. Saga let me return it and get another one which was convenient, but I let my mom order it for me again and she ordered a small. I tried to cancel the order but they wouldn't answer any calls or emails. At this point I was disapointed in their customer service.When the small got here Saga, yet again, let me return it and get another. They also called me a few days later and apologized for not responding which gained saga my respect. Basically the put up with my mistakes and apologized for it.
 
Im also in the UK, and I think the service was shit, the pre-ordered got sent much later than predicted when I finally got an email saying the package had been sent, in fact They was actually waiting for the gloves to come in stock??? Three weeks later they sent the package and to be fair it got here quick, but the company they chose to ship it with did not inform me it was here for 5 days? I only found out from tracking it (I know this wasn't Saga's fault but none the less a shit service they chose)

when the package got here I had to pay the tax of £125, I know this is standard procedure it just seemed extremely expensive! That's nearly half of what the goods was worth, + i've ordered from Saga before and did not pay nowhere near this!

part of the order was the 3L Baker pant, it's a completely different colour to what it looks like on the website.

They also advertise the pant to fit 32-36 inch waist (large), Well I'm a 34 & they are so tight in the crutch there is no way I could ski in them! your movement is completely restricted you couldn't bring your knee up! So someone with a 36 inch waist would have no chance,

Then a few days later They post on Instagram that they're covering the Canadian customers taxes and giving them a free gift!!! Wtf! When I found out what my taxes was i simply didn't have the money to pay it after spending around £380 on jacket pants and gloves so I emailed Saga asking if there was any chance of getting any help at all as I've been a loyal customer for years, to which they told me no chance there was nothing they could do, yet The helped out all their Canadian customers a few days later

this website is full of little pricks that love to suck Saga dick and I'm sure they are Going to have plenty to say and pick holes in what I've written here but the truth of the matter is, it's overpriced over rated shit, The one shop that sold there new 3l jacket here in the UK wanted £230 for it, it's simpley just not worth that sort of money (and that's what I've paid time you take the tax into consideration) its super thin without a liner, you can get a much better Quality jacket for that kind of money than that piece of shit, I'd nether buy from them again
 
I still like saga's products but I got to dis agree with the op, the service this year has been shit.

I didn't pre order, I paid full pop for a jacket. Ordered it exactly 14 days ago. Paid taxes and shipping was included to Canada.

After I didn't receive a tracking number within 48 hours (its says this on their website) I emailed there service department. I didn't get a response for about 4 days. This is poor customer service.

I got a response from one of their 10 employees saying my order would be processed next week, and to email him back then for a tracking number. I think he meant to say it would be shipped next week. My card was charged right away (processed). Two weeks after I paid for the jacket it would be shipped....poor service.

I emailed him back this morning like he said to do to get my tracking number. Still haven't heard anything. 2 weeks have gone by since I paid for my in stock jacket, no tracking number, no idea if its even shipped....poor service

I guess ill be skiing this weekend in my puff vest and poly combo I got last year, only problem with that is the zipper broke half way through the season last year...poor quality zipper?

Disappointed in saga this year. This will be my 4th order from saga in the past 5 years, the past years I had nothing bad to say about the service or the products. I really hope this isn't a trend within the brand, as a newish company they were off to such a good a start.
