for a package.

i'm looking at the capita travis parker or the capita stairmaster.

bindings and boots i need direction.

and also size. i'm 6'0 155lb and am thinking somewhere between 156-163.
 
im 5'9, and havea 158 forum recon, and i like it. Im thining a 160-164 ish would be good. Depends, if your just rippin in the park, go 160 ish. I dont snowboard alot, so im not sure. Ill ask my bro what he thinkss
 
boots, i would guess is the same as skiing. whatever fits.

Nothing beats the mission's or cartels with the toe caps. There isnt pressure on the top of your foot, and your heel is firm in the highback.
 
if ur riding park go for a 160, 158 is really pushing it. i heard good things about the stair master but look around for other boards by other brands like o-matic, atomic, never summer, and be sure to check out rome. for boots, its what ever you feel comfortable in, no matter how expensive or cheap it is. im guessing that you have above a size 10? that means you'll need a wide board or at least something above a 25cm waist width. for bindings check out rome, technine, union, salomon.
 
actually erase that, not 160. see its ur weight that matters, and you are pretty skinny for someone that's 6 feet. go for a 158, 156 might even do for park.
 
dude burton bindings = the cheapest worst quality bindings made. they break sooo easy compared to alot of other companies. and pretty much all companies make toe caps now. personally i like technines design best for bindings. strongest and most durable ones. the only problem bought technine is that the buckles kinda suck so you just switch the buckles
 
and if you wanna save some money just buy regular cheap boots. snowboarding boots dont really matter much cause all theyare is fabric and foam, pretty similar to eachother. my friend is a pretty good snowboarder whos sponsored and for the past two years hes been using 20$ value village boots and a pair he found in his basement
 
when did you get board....not to mention its fucking massive for ya. For your size throwing that board around is going to be a beast.
 
for having such a big foot id seriously consider the salomon scotty arnold pro board. its a wider board thats really good in the park.
 
stairmasters are a little week if you are planning on doing any hard jibbing like tail blocks and stuff like that two kids i ride with have busted them, but capita did hookem up so deff go capita or lib tech and boots DCs have always been good and the new burton bindings are dope but pretty much anything with a cap strap is the best
 
i hope your joking. Most boots aren't similar to one another. Different flexes, materials and features.

To the guy looking for equipment check out the burton hail. Super sweet boot fits like a skate shoe. The heatform liner with anti-micrombial soating is the shit. Are you looking for something with speedzone/boa or laces.
 
ha, yeah man. It was big. I think i rode it twice over the entire season. Im going to bring it out more next season. Are you going to be residing in Sudbury for the 2008 ski season Mathieu?
 
I have an 06/07 Signal 159 with flux super titan bindings you could have for fairly cheap, really good board, only has 3 days on it and it only saw one box, no rails.
 
it may work for some people, but really, boots matter the most.

you can put up with a crappy board, you can put up with crappy bindings. if you have an ill-fitting boot, riding won't be enjoyable.

the power from your body/legs is all transferred to the board from that contact point where your feet meet the board.

and i don't know where you've been the past couple of years, but boot tech has improved a lot. a lot of companies are finding ways to reduce the bulk in boots to give a better fit and better foot to board contact/fit with bindings/responsiveness and whatnot.
