If you go to school or work some of you probably agree.I go to school and i'm just sick of the same old routine...

Waking up in the early hours, going to school until 3, having to do some lame ass homework, and soon going to bed knowing I have to do the same damn thing until the weekend or something interesting happens. I'm not depressed, i'm just tired of the same routine over and over. life is dull sometimes..

anyone have any similarities?

how do you guys spice things up

/end rant

Right there with ya. Skiing helps me deal with that a lot. Tuesday and Wednesday mornings are so damn hard to get up for and literally the only way for me to get up is to think about skiing on the weekend. As for the week days, try a sport. It will suck ass compared to skiing but it helps you get out of that rut of going from school home every day.

Hang in there man. Life's too short to live it like that

yeah man. with ski season dwindling down on the east coast it's like damn. Have been playing a lot of golf to keep it interesting

I still live by a strict routine in college. Luckily theres parties and stuff to break things up but its still school from 8-1 every day and a bunch of weekly deadlines that must be met.

If being in highschool is causing you this much despair you're not gonna make it very far in life. Enjoy the fact that a little "homework" is your biggest responsibility right now.

College is awesome and working isn't so bad if you don't hate your job. It's nice to have money to spend on things but high school is a joke compared to the real world routine that becomes your life.

Keep your chin up dude it could be worse.

Roll facr and start going to shows. Whether its a bass show, house or trance, rolling is always a great pastime

The difficult thing about school is that although its really important, if you're only interested in skiing all winter, then going to school isn't really conducive to doing that - you're not making money, you're not doing it out of choice, and you're not surrounded by other skiers.

Try to see it this way; you're doing school because its a long slow process that is helping you get something that will help you ski in the future; a diploma/degree. Education = job = money = skiing.

Just think of yourself as working towards your dream job, or working towards a year of nothing but skiing and working just enough to scrape by and buy a pass. Keep your eye on the prize my friend.

Until you ultimately get more depressed than when you started off sober. While it is a whole lot of fun, there are much more beneficial choices OP could partake in to put some variety in his life. That being said, I have the same predicament. So I can't offer any advice.

As a friend of person whose dad is an accountant I can vouch for this. He's actually an alcoholic now who likes to hide brownies around the house for that special occasion.

And what's the better alternative? Being born in Africa and dying of AIDS or starvation by the time you are 10.

Being born in America is like hitting the fucking lottery dude. Things can be so much worse. European countries have 25+% unemplyment rates. You think those guys are crying because they can only ski on the weekends? No they are fucking rioting in the streets because they can't put food on the table.

Discover/persue a hobby/talent. Possibly a form of art or music. Something that you can do when you're bored. But make it so its not just "something to do." Like take guitar lessons for example. You'll get less bored that way and feel more motivated in general.

I go running after class, and it makes me feel so much better about myself. School year can get fucking boring if you dont do SOMETHING between homework and sleep, or school and homework.

However, high school IS easy as fuck, so do not complain.

i totally agree sometimes i think to myself what if a zombie apocolypse happend that would be fucking dope.

If your life is fucking boring, then do something about it, start reading, go out, try a new sport, etc..

Life is what you want to make it.

Shhhhh no tears, only dreams now.

fuck bitches and get money then spend said money on a motorcycle to attract hotter bitches and make more money

try waking up at 5:30 wednesday mornings, rowing in 30 degree weather for 2 hours, going to class until 3, and then practicing again until 7.

you have way more free time than you think you do. start using it better

this.

OP shut up. I wish I was back in HS. You have nothing of importance to worry about except school. I don't really wish I was back in HS, but I wish I knew how pointless it all was. You just have to get by and get into college. Outside of that you can do anything you want. You want change, change. After school do something, go skiing, mountain bike, hike, climb, run, play sports, discover something new... You have so much freedom its silly.

pahahaha unemployment at 25+%?! errrr, where do you hear this shit?! the news?!

Fuck it's not that bad! I haven't seen a riot over food here, maybe in North Korea (BTW not in Europe)

wait until you join the real world and have an actual job. time will blow by so fast you won't realise you missed it. It sucks.

There is nothing I hate more than people telling others to wake up and "face the real world". No, I will do no such thing, its my life and I will choose to be not-miserable in this real world of yours.

Did I tell anyone to wake up and face the real world? No, I stated from my personal experience that if you think the boring repetitive college life is boring, the working life is is more repetitive than the college life. I am also not miserable at all, I enjoy my life a lot, have a great job, great girlfriend, great parents, family and friends. I'm quite happy.

There's a difference in accepting the real world and taking a shitty job that you hate... Right now I'm in a job I hate, but thats changing soon. Gonna quit and travel for 2-3 months, if everything goes according to plan. Then I plan to find a job in something I actually enjoy, not just a job.

I agree with you, people who "face the real world" are really just taking shitty jobs and are actually facing shit jobs. They become content with their life because they probably make good money, have a decent social life, and are happy most times. IMO content is the worst place to be in life.

Umm yes dude. Do you follow the global economy at all? Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece all have unemployment over 20-25%. I don't know where you live, but it is clearly not one of those countries. The European Union as a whole has an unemployment rate of 12%. The point I'm making is this kid is bitching about being a "boring American" and I'm just pointing out how much fucking worse could be.

Go west, young man!

I live surrounded in an area surrounded by corn fields. I plan on leaving this shitty state of Illinois after college.

Yeah, it makes me so frustrated when I hear my parents talk about life like this. "Life isnt supposed to be fun", "you can have fun when you've retired" is what they have been telling me my whole upbringing. Haha, I know YOLO is fucking retarded, but Ive always said that I could die any day, hell, I could be hit by a car in a few hours when I leave the house, and thats why I dont really want to put good times on hold, especially when it works perfectly fine to combine having fun (my idea of fun anyway) with a productive, healthy lifestyle.

Content fucking sucks.

And yeah, I do realise that blabla you cant always have fun because then you dont appreciate it blablaa, but that isnt an excuse to lead a miserable life and only once in a while rock it.

and @theblackrod$ I wasnt attacking your post actually haha, I was actually going to hate on Spinozas post a bit further up but I was too lazy to scroll up there on my phone. My bad if I came off as a jerk.

Please, explain to me how a collective economy representing roughly 300 million people (same size as US) and a GDP of $16.4 trillion (larger than the US's of $15.6 trillion) is not a proper example to use when comparing "boring America" to the alternatives? Go on, I'll wait here patiently while you gather some facts and figures, fucktard.
