It's just so silly and so forced. I know that music wasnt actually playing when you made those silly movements! Every time i just imagine the original silence while whiteboy awkwardly gestures at a camera, pretending to be grooving to music that will only be added later by the editor. And since the music was never actually present the dancing is always off-beat and awkward. I die a little inside and wait patiently for the video to return to the skiing. In my opinion you either gotta go full out with the music video style and have your actors (since they ARE acting) actually coordinate their gesticulations with the music or cut out the makebelieve and edit natural footy to the track. I have never called anything played before, but after a hundred thousand edits that shit is PLAYED!

its probably going to fade out this coming season with another trend. you should post a thread about it at the moment its done so people will stop doing it and auomatically making the world a better place.
 
While that edit is too gangsta for my liken i never get sick of watchin that gaper eat shit at the end

But as for the thread i completely agree with you, its in every single park edit
 
Im so tired of all the forced gangster steeze. I realize its a joke to most people but when you ride that way 24/7...the joke loses it punch...

i completly agree with with this. its actually pretty funny how people all of a sudden think theyre gangsters because they are skiing. the ghetto is not a fun place to be and never will.
 
That's the first video I thought of.

The dancing is pretty cliche, but I've never thought about the awkward silence as the skier dances haha. I'm not to into it, but it's only 15 seconds of your time.

And while I do believe that afterbang can be COMPLETELY forced and look ridiculous, I really like it. There's a difference between landing sketch and then popping up to look sweet, as seen in the Brogan THUG edit, and landing while looking comfortable.

So, what I'm saying is, when done wrong it looks awful, but when doe right it looks fantastic.
 
make your own edit without it...be the change you want to see in the world don't bitch about it and do nothing...
 
some people use these crazy new invention called "headphones" so they actually are jamming to music on the lift! Get off it bro XXXXXl is mad styly and dancing like a goon is mad fun!
 
It's cause it's not their own thing. All of the sudden it's everybody's thing and it gets so overdone it looks rediculous.
 
Mike Hornbeck does what he wants so whatever...drop it!

plus he is listening to music while doing it so it's not just total silence for the rider.

what the hell is with no one understanding that skiing is the most thug sport of all. its not a big deal to be reallly overly gangster, if you like how it looks, wear it, and nay-sayers can fuck off.
