If you try and come at this from a rational standpoint, you'll be laughed off of NS because most people are too ignorant towards the subject. Do 99% of these kids know where baggy clothing originated, or how it came to be? No, and they certainly don't represent it. Do they know what bandanas are actually for? Doubt it...

I'll continue to dress with more subtlety then 99% of the 'thugs' out there. Why? Because I'm fucking white and grew up in a upper-middle class family, just like the other supposed 'gangstas'.

who the fuck cares about what people wear? seriously, you have no right to tell people that wearing gangsta shit is bad. dont get me wrong tho i agree that a bunch of little white kids running aroung in 3xl talltees and talking mad shit to EVERYONE is really fucking annoying. but ive ridden up to some guys dressed ridiculously gagnsta that are way cool and nice. personally i wear clothes that fit. but let people wear what they want. sorry if i fucked up spelling, my collar is broken and i cant type right.
 
Some people actually do sell drugs on here, and not everyone is bill gates. Yeah, the majority don't live "in da hood" or whatever, but it's also irrational to assume that everyone here lives a wealthy lifestyle.

But yeah, acting like a thug can be straight up dumb sometimes, and super baggy clothes make you look like a fool at times. But sometimes it can look really sick if it's pulled off right, so I don't think that you can call everyone out on it. Besides, nobody actually thinks they're black.

the only part of gangsters and thugs im sick of is when kids go home to their little suburban homes and trade in that tall tee for a fucking baby blue polo. Thats shits just dumb, tall tees are even more comfortable off the mountain.

why do you care about people sagging there pants and wearing long jackets and just because you look that way doesn't mean you have a bad attitude it just means that you have a good since of style so go pull up your pants and leave everyone else alone

for the first time the other day I saw a dude ridin mammoth with rocker pants on skis. see it all the time with snowboarders, whatever, but with skis it just looks goofy

Here's my take on this..................I don't see why anyone would want to emulate the ganster/thug lifestyle. People who are truly gang members and live that life, are born into that lifestyle and grow up surrounded by it. They turn to that lifestyle because that's all they know, not that it makes it right or gives them a valid excuse. I've personally witnessed it ruin lifes and have seen people laying dead in the streets because of gangs and gang violence.

So.......I don't understand why we choose to degrade our sport by emulating such a negative lifestyle. Now obviously 99.9 percent of skiers who dress and act that way, aren't living the lifestyle and selling drugs/killing people, but it's still giving our sport a bad look in my opinion.

off the slopes i dress "normal" i guess you'd call it. jeans and tee's that fit with skate shoes or flip flops. on the slopes i have XL clothes, does that mean i act like a gangsta...no. i think it looks way better than tight clothes do. just like i think skateboarders look better wearing tighter clothes...fuck the police
 
who the fuck cares. wear what you want. if you like the way something looks and feels wear it, if u don't then don't wear it. don't go telling people that they're wrong to wear something cus they're not "black" or "gangsta". this is why we still have problems, because we still racial profile. when we can get past that we wont hav all these problems. who cares if a upper class white kid wears baggy clothes. saying that they cant wear cus they're white is just like saying all black people are thugs and aren't allowed to be productive citizens. we hav to get over the past and live in a time with out setting ridiculous standards.

i dont have a problem with the baggy clothing, but when kids think they're hardcore, and act like jackasses and dont make a movie without rap in it i does bother me
