so we have these big glass windows in the back of our house, and bird fly into them and hit them all the time. usually they either die instantly, or they get up pretty quickly and fly away. but one bird hit the window a while ago and it still hasnt gotten up. its moving its tail around so we know its alive. i feel like its probably in alot of pain. what do you think the best course of action is
 
I take a pellet gun and shoot them in the head if they are badly hurt, it may sound brutal but its better than suffering to death

UPDATE

the bird is now sitting up like a normal bird!!! he looks kinda shitty but atleast hes moving around. there might be a little blood on the groundnear him, but i think hes gonna pull through
 
ive been there when it has happened... it is sad, but not emo sad.

blood is all trickling out there mouths and shit. it sucks
 
bird hit my windows too...once i had to shoot one with a pellet gun to put it out of its pain, it was like twichin and its eyes were blood red
 
a seagul flew into r windshield today it was so scary and i hit a goose while golfikng today as well i felt bad for the goose cuz it was wiht its family and the goose that got hit jsut like ran around for a bit then started spinning on the ground and i think it died so i felt abd for the mom/dad and all the little babies
 
birds are stupid. he will be down on the ground under your window crippled again in 15 minutes
 
It's probably bleeding internally so it's only a matter of time. Needs emergency surgery. Be a hero!
 
man, same here. there's a huge window at the back of my house, and so far this year 3 birds have hit it, 2 dying fast and the other one making a miraculous recovery after 5 minutes of seizures and other weird stuff. We even put up a special sticker on it so that the birds could tell that it is glass but they still can't and they just hit it, these birds are just too dumb...
 
i hit a goose golfing once. it didnt die tho. it jsut honked and ran in circles for a couple seconds i was rolling around on the tee laughing it was so funny

i work at th golf course and last year geese had a fight on our first fariway. it was huge. there was feathers EVERYWHERE and it was so loud.
 
tht happened to me once at camp. we had a rocket thing and it launched up and hit the bird and i think it broke its leg but other than that it was fine. so we taped up the leg and gave it water and leftover food from dinner cuz it coodnt fly. then i found $50

(tht story rly did happen but i ddnt find 50 dollars i just wanted to make it more exciting)
 
i think i would actually find that entertaining the first few times a bird flew into it and then it would get old. But just watch it for a few mins and if its struggling then, kill it.
