yo, im remounting my public enemies cuz i want to be center... Im at +3 but it sucks balls... whjat is cente +8? im thinking its around there.. any techs out there no how to make the jig fit the wide part at the front of the ski? Cuz i have tyrollia bindings and the fucking jig is too small...

also what song is in candides segment of frontline? it also continues into the crevace part

did you go measure them?

take a tape measure and measure it from the far tip to the core center mark, the measure it from the far tail to the core center mark, if core center is the exact center of the ski, then you will have the same number

^My shop guy did just that, measured from the tip to the tail, marked it at the halfway point and then he moved them 1cm back from that. He was calling the halfway point (exact center) the 'core' center of the ski.

fuck! alright well im prolly gonna go with +8 or +9... i dunno about the jig though... and fuck... the centre of the ski is where the radius is at it largest point and the ski is narowest... you guys are dips... fuck... +3 is way to far back too i feel like im riding on some fucking cross country skis... and yeah jigs are for pansies... pansy's who do the job right you twat.

ummmm i heard the farther u mt forward the more you ARENT gonna get out of the ski and it makes sense. I mean seriously that line is recommended for a reason right? and when you on a groomed terrain your sidecut will be even more fucked up if you mt like +8 or really close to center. This is just WHAT i was told IF ANYONE on here has it mounted +8 or higher and HASNT had trouble on groomed terrain or pow lets here cuz i would like to im buying pes soon......

^That's Bull Shit....It make your skis more squirly when you nove them foreward but all it does is make your turning more agressive... your sidecut (turning radius) is decreased becuase your are not centered over the largest point in the radius of the sidecut which is the narrowest point in the ski... If anything it will make skiing groomed better... pow not so much cuz u wont be seated at the back...

but i live in ontario so fuck i never ski pow

it definitely doesnt make it better, i would say its the same. When you're carving/doing groomers, you just need to use your weight different than with non-center mounted skis. Yes, powder takes a bit more effort, but it makes it less effort skiing/landing switch in pow. I ski everything on my center mounts just fine, from park to groomers, to waist deep pow.

^^ ok this is to both of you guys, for someone like me who is gettin 179s and ridin east coast parks about 70% of the time WHAT should i go with? seriously i was thinkin compromise it and go with +3 but now hearing this from first hand experience is giving me a diff view......

well east skiing....right there I would probably ride center, but its a big change to ski center all the time on everything. Its up to you, dont blame me if you end up not liking it :P

I balanced mine on my finger and measured and core on the bc's is the big toe bubble with the length written in it. It is exactly 2.5 INCHES in front of the forward line. I split the two (1.25in) and think it will work out.

^ sorry same thing easier way. On rossi 6cm infront of the 'modern line' is core center. I am going +3cm (half that). Make changes in cm not inches.

who says you cant do it right with out a jig? i freehand pivots very often. due to the fact that we dont have a pivot jig. if you take you time and do it right, then its just as good.
