Im reals sorry guys

I'm basically the same as you snackbar. I have 178s and they work great. You could go longer than that too.

What are they for?

Park, pow, all-mountain?

In any case I'd say you should go at least 180, sack up man, you're 6 foot.

i know everyone on here is like "o yeah go longer, your a pussy if you dont!" but just go with what your comfortable with. just try some different lengths and see what you like most. dont listen to all the people all here saying b.s. go with what you like and what you can ride comfortably. p.s. in my opinion your weight is more important to ski length than height because the longer ski provides more surface area, but why would a guy whose 6' 150lbs need a ton more surface area to float that a guy whose 5' 8" 150lbs? they would both sink equally in powder because they have the same weight. i could see why the taller guy might need a little longer ski for park for more stability because its just geometry and the physics of it all, but from personal experience i have had no harder time stomping landings on a 172 than a 180. in fact it was easier because i could control myself in the air better, expecially on spins.

thats my input, ill probably get shit for it, but i stand by it any way. if it was confusing i will try and clarify

I would agree with the fact that you should go with something you can ride comfortably, but I'm about 6'3", and anything shorter than 180cm I think it's too easy to overpower. And longer skis are more stable, I've never spun anything over 540 anyway, so I don't like short skis to huck fast spins, but it's personal preference.

Ever notice how it's easier to twist something with a longer handle than a shorter handle? It's called LEVERAGE.

Taller people have a lot more leverage than shorter people, which means that it's important for them to have longer skis so they can ski aggressively without overpowering the skis. Anything shorter than a 185-190 is too short for me becuase I stand too far over the tip, because I am 6'2.

Try skiing centered, lol.

All this size is useless with out knowing what your using it for.

I'm 6'4 180 lbs and

my park skis are 183 STLs

My everyday skis are 189 squads

my rock skis are 190 powderpluses

my new pow skis are 194 xxls

but I dont feel like my friends xrc 1200s which i skied in a 177 were too short for me. felt great, loved that ski.

And I have skied sl skis as short as 160 which werent bad either.
