I don't think NS sucks. That's why I came back. I just think a lot of the user base is about 12 years old and don't understand the work involved.
 
actually the "twelve year olds" are fine, it's the people that somehow think they're involved in the industry and have decided that they're owed something by this site.
 
it's definetly a hard job being a mod, that's why it is important when taking this job to do it impartially, and with such a big viewer base for this site it's also important for all the users to have respect for the men\women making it possible... thanks NS.
 
HAHA i have noticed that too, hopefully this isnt some industry trend starting up cuz i dont want a bunch of whiny pussies running anything in skiing.

Well with that said none of their start ups seem to amount to shit, which is probly why they are bitter in the first place and they vent here cuz NS is actually successful.
 
I wouldnt like being called an asshole either, but why dont you just deal with it instead of complaining about it. There are very few kids who call you an asshole compared to the number of kids who love ns. Just accept that you cant please everybody. Everyone else complains on NS, I guess its just a matter of time for the mods to start complaining too. I dont mean to sound like a jerk because you guys really do a great job with ns.

smartest thing ive ever heard a newer member say. dont get me wrong, i absolutly love what all of you guys do for it, but you dont have to bitch about it when someone says something bad about you ya know? if everyone was like that then there would be approximatly 3,495,283 threads just like this one on ns.
 
Doug is the man. Ive been around since 02. I love this site, i wouldnt go anywhere else. Those kids that hate NS are just 12 year olds with nothing better to do but rip on people who make sites.

Eh, ya gotta realize there are people who will never be happy with what they've got no matter what. Some people will always complain and bitch and groan no matter what. it's part of life. Just read through and ignore the bullshit.

I dunno... I liked how you guys responded to the last time I bitched about the site. I was impressed."Fuck NS" threads don't accomplish anything, but I think there's a place for constructive criticism. That said, you know I think that too many people have been riding this site lately and it wouldn't be a terrible idea to throw an elbow or two, situation permitting, rather than rolling with the punches. You don't deserve to have to deal with some of the shit you get, but apparently no one cares as long as they can get away with it. I'm always a fan when NS fights back.

wow that really sucks your guys feel so underappreciated b/c you definitely should not. some people are just ungrateful i guess. NS should have a designated annual moderation appreciation day. damad, makes a nice palindrome too. no but seriously, thanks for a great site and a good job with everything.
 
i am a new member but everyone who told me to get a name says this site is cool and so far its an awesome site especially to go on when ur at skool
 
this is one thing im having trouble with and why does everyones panties get in a bunch when their little insignificant post is deleted, people need to realize no one gives a rats ass about what you have to say, unless you know what your talking about, and in most cases you couldnt tell your ass from a hole in the ground, so quit your damn complaining about the site.

i think you gents are doing an excellent job.

the pseudonames/alteregos are running a bit rampant though which is part of the problem. people are a lot bolder when they think they can hide on the internet.

it is my understanding that there is alot of unnecessary hating going on and if there is a complaint they should do it formally and not rudely. Doug has feeling too!
 
i dont think they mean YOU the runners of NS sold out i think they mean that the people who log on and get on ns, sold ns out... I think this is the greatest site known to man. just pick your way through the bullshit and read the shit posted by the intelligent and funny members.
 
I dont know why people say that this site is crap, I think it rules. The mods are doing a great job and the techs are always improving ns.

How about consequences to the post whore 'you suck' threads. Try banning for life? It may be pretty harsh but freedom of speech can go so far before hurting someone. Just think of it...

doug you've been here forever. Who cares what any little punks think about this place. Do what you want, and fuck the rest of em. This site doesn't need the complainers, so why bother worrying about appeasing them.
