no need for a long thread.. this is the basics.

"Your going to spend X amount of dollars on that ski jacket/pant/suit/glove/goggle/boot/skis ETC.. online and you never tryed it on? You must be out of your mind" - mom/dad/guardian

yeah, well my scenario.. im having my birthday dinner with my fam and my present was a ski suit.. but i have to preorder it online so my rents basically lost it .. haha kinda funny.

Stories?

haha ya last year i think i returned 4 or 5 things but now my parents trust me with getting the right size, its just hard for me to get the right size gloves online

well my parents dont mind me buying online unless i dont tell them cause im only 15, i dont think i would buy a ski jackets online just because if i got it and it didnt fit, too small mostly, that would suck

yes i hate it too cause i know what im doing and they insist on doing all this crap before i can buy anything online

wjatever u buy u can always send back and get new sizes...the only money u lose is the shipping fees...and alot of ski stuff has free shipping, but if its at a cheaper price, and if u local shop is kinda far away, or they arent carriers of what ur buying...then it all evens out

i dont buy online whenever avoidable. and i wouldnt buy anything worht a load of money online.

yea i generally like to avoid online ski purchase's if possible. I can ushually get what ever i want cheeper in the shop anyways

they used to give me shit but I proved them wrong everytime so they trust my e-judgment now when it comes to shopping......my dad doesn't trust my e-judgment when it comes to everything else though. oh bah.

my dad gets all his golf stuff online, so hes pretty cool with it, as long as the seller is legit

my parents are always like " you cant just buy things online without knowing what it is" and then i tell them how ive done research on which (thing) to get, and all the reviews ive read, and the different sites ive looked at buying it from, and then they just kind of look at me and say ok. i never buy things without doing a ton of research first

yeh but for me i get obsessive...so my parents are just like "get it already you are driving me insane!!!" becasue every time they walk past the computer i am like "hey check this out" and show them a different angle of the new gear i am getting...

i buy all my shit online,it works really well. i money order it though. That way, if the person your trying to buy stuff from fucks you over, you just cancel the money order. I don't paypal, or credit card, way to fucked up.

I buy 90% of my stuff local. That way if something goes wrong I don't get anally raped when I need my stuff to be fixed or warrantied. The only time I'll buy online is if I can get a ridiculously good price or it's something that none of the shops in town carry (which doens't happen much with 6 ski shops).

The only sketch things are A) not being able to try it on before you buy it, B) Dealing with sketchy people/stores.

well i got a oakley paratroop large from a store online and it was too big. so i shipped it back and got a medium... it was easy!

the thing is, i have abnormally long arms, so half the time, even an xl doesn't have arms long enough for me, so i really do need to try it on.

I can't buy anything at all. My parents think that even if I buy something off of amazon that there is some super hacker ready to get our info.

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME

EHEATH NEEDS TO BE MOD SO HE CAN DESTROY PIECES OF SHIT LIKE YOU

YOUR SIG PROVES MY POINT

I guess i'm in the minority. the only thing i can think of is buying a new bike when i was 12. My dad didn't understand what was wrong with the one i had. I showed him how bent out the forks were on my walmart huffy from using it how their supposedly intended. Actually riding walmart bikes is not a great idea. I had plenty of money and picked up a nice dk.

Chill the fuck out. It's my sig because I think it's stupid. And I only bumped it because I was looking for the solid 7 thread to show a friend and I had something to say.

So many little kids freaking out. People should make a list for their refrigerator.

Things to remember.

Boots

Socks

Hoodie

Jacket/Coat

Pants

Skis/Snowboard

Hand Warmers

Juicy Juice

Lunch Money

Cell Phone

Most important, remember to take your meds

i guess this thread shows the age group of most of ns

18, in college, online is the way to go for anything you need. just dont go below $0 on the savings account

i do a lot of reseach to find the cheapest, legit seller as i had issues with a store when i ordered my skis for 60% off...

long story short, i paid, waited a few days for a confirmation, contacted them and found that they didnt really have "3 pairs in stock" and had to wait over a week for them to refund my money.

i surprisingly dont. my dad says that its my money, and if i want to spend it online i can, but if i get screwed over it is not his responsibility.

My family buys everything online...

Barely any legit ski shops on Long Island, so this year i got my skis and my whole outerwear setup online.

You can always send something back if it doesn't fit...

And you've been here a long time....

If he would have made a new thread everyone would have been bitching about him not using the search bar.
