A month ago i bought the Armada Trippy hoodie from getboards.com

It has been a whole month and i still havent gotten it. i have emailed them several times and everytime i keep getting more pissed.

does anybody else have this problem?
 
I ordered a giro helmet from them and waited a month before they told me they havent had em in their wharehouse a will ship me one in 2weeks time so i canceled it
 
yea i have had some problems with getboards in the past, i ordered a jacket and it didnt come for like 2 months...and when i called they said they were sold out, then it took them forever to return my money...
 
have heard little to no positive things about the site or the people involved at all.
 
Oh shit I pre-ordered reasons from them already. Guess I won't be getting that for a while. In a week if it's still not here I will just harass them a bunch until someone personaly makes sure it was shipped.

I've never had a good experience with them.

Sucks when it takes a month and half to ship within the same state that you live in, let alone receive the wrong product, let alone have them not follow through with promised swag for being so late.

There are other sites now that will give you free shipping for a $50+ order and pay the sales tax for you. That's where I shop now.
 
This is why you should do a search for getboards before ordering!! heaps of past experiences here, most not good. Customer service is generally non-existent

I'm pissed at the-house.com right now. It took them 7 days to ship my order, they gave me a fedex tracking number that won't work, and it's been almost 3 weeks since I ordered with Fedex "5 day delivery"
 
i ordered the savage hoody about a month and a half ago and i just got the confirmation message that it has been sent today! even though it was supposed to ship sept 5
 
ive had some problems with getboards, nothing too serious also had decent experiences

never had a problem with the-house.com

everythings smooth as fuck there

and of course the most legit one on the list, newschoolers.com will do buisness with anytime, and have helped me a TON when ive needed it
 
I FUCKING HATE GETBOARDS.COM. I'm so glad this thread was made. The website is seriously run like it some guy in his basement selling random gear to people who are stupid enough to buy it from him because they think its a legit site. Half the shit on there isn't even in stock and it still lets you order it without ever telling you you'll never get it. I'm still trying to have some supposedly out-of-stock 4frnt poles that I never received recredited back to my credit card...absolutely no fucking cusomer service...Sorry for the rant.
 
After speaking with "Tom" on the phone for half an hour he rudely told me that they shipped my stuff USPS without telling me after I had paid for Fedex. There's nothing I can do and I'm not getting the money I paid for shipping back because "the bank won't let them". The tracking number tells me that my stuff has been in customs in Mississauga since monday.

Never ordering from them again.
 
everything i've ever ordered from them not only ships right away but shows up in like 3 days. super legit, sorry for your deal though
 
I ordered a pair of pants from them this summer and it showed up pretty quick. I was satisfied, but get-boards.com sounds very sketch. I will never buy from them.

i just got a shipment notice after it has been a month, i still hope that i dont get the wrong product. i am so disappointed right now
 
a couple years ago i ordered some skis from them. after about three weeks of them not arriving i started to email them and call them. after another few weeks of hassling and dealing with getboard's shit, i found out the skis were on backorder. A month later the skis arrived at my house. BUT THEY WERE THE WRONG FUCKING SKIS! i sent them back and finally got the right ones a few weeks later. those skis also broke that season.. i try to avoid dealing with getboards now.
 
Because they make most of their money from their onsite store. They have a rental section that I am sure makes them more than enough for the season.

Imma play devils advocate here. If you go to their actual store they're very nice and will hook you up with good prices and discounts and stuff. I've bought two pairs of skis from them and gave me free mounting privileges. I've mounted the same pair of skis there twice and both times they've done it for free.

With that said, even though I like getboards shop and their owner is chill, the warehouse part, which is where the stuff that's ordered online gets shipped from is poorly runned. I don't think I would order online from getboards unless the deal was amazing.
 
I have had some problems with getboards in the past as well. You have to call and talk to someone. When they tell you they will call you back, ask them when. Then, when they don't call you back, cause they normally don't, call them again. They will eventually put in some effort. It sucks but it gets it done.
 
you should dispute the charge on your credit card, and tell him if he wants his shit back to send you a shipping label.

I had a fantastic experience with backcountry.com. I ordered pants, jacket, gloves, and hat on a monday, and had my gear that thursday. Definitiely a good, reliable site.
 
i've bought items from them twice and had good luck both times. i ordered skis and they ended up getting lost in the mail (no fault of getboards), but when 2 weeks had passed and i was without skis getboards overnighted me a pair. eventually the lost pair arrived and i returned them. they seemed very legit to me
 
i havent actually had a problem with them. i got seth vicious for 200, they were at my house in 3 days.
 
yeah screw get boards didnt get my stuff for like two month after christmas when they said it would be there before!! never answered any phone calls!! hevent bought there since!
 
i know i've trashed getboards.com before about all the orders of mine they have fucked me on they are in other threads but long story short getboards is horrible, they will take your money and not give you what you ordered, and that's real talk.
 
Get boards doesn't seem very legit will not order from them took them like two weeks to ship it and i still don't have my bindings.

grats on gettin ur hoody. another legit site is REI.com they dont have a real big selection but all their stuff goes on sale in like february. i bought my invaders there last year and they got here in less then a week.
 
That was actually Armada's fault...I ordered an Armada shirt from Getboards and it did not come forever, come to find out Armada stalled their shipment for two months later then they promised....
 
getboards is fucking useless. everything is incredibly expensive, they never ship on time, and they're not up to date on what's in stock. they suck

I need to explain something about orders at getboards.com this time of year. We take a lot of pre-orders early in the season, August/Sept for example- Claim Dvd, the producer puts a release date on it and then that never happens and they keep pushing the date further back. So the customer suffers. The customer does get the video before most others can get it if they preorder it.

As of today if a newschooler orders, I the owner will make sure you get the product as fast as possible

It is weird we dont get many emails from customers on our website asking where the package is?? So make sure you email me tonys@getboards.com or info@getboards.com at anytime.

Guys, I will even hook you up with a free video or dvd if you felt you have not had great customer service from us. just email me now and consider this thread done.
