on the real though, 4 years ago I was 18 and probably (hopefully) a lot more immature than I am now.

NS isnt so bad after all, and like any drug, you just keep coming back for more. don't take this thread so seriously, we all change over the years and it's kinda lame that everything you write on the internet stays on there forever. nothing you or i can change, but its a good learning experience.

It's horrible to run into something I wrote back in 2003, when I thought that I was a "mature" 16-year-old. I was OBSESSED about how tricks should be named and spun, even though most I can't do even now.

I'm with you on the permanence of what we "say" being a scary, scary thing. Frankly, I'm glad I joined when I was a bit older and my filter was a bit more reliable.

Ns has gotten out of hand in 2006 and only got worse. Its annoying finding the core members through the hate of 8 year old (16 years old claims). I find myself to be lucky to be a member early in the game.

But NS is an empire, and with all empires when infection starts, it spreads like wildfire. I prefer the OP, nothing strikes harder than having a pro getting tired of the industry. People obviously reflected on that you posted 4 years ago...but then soon forgot.

To stay on topic: I want to ski so bad
 
i don't hate a lot on this site, but fuck jacob wester has got to be the whiniest little bitch of a pro skier i've ever heard of in my life. When he cried because he didn't invited to freestyle.ch or whatever, i lost a lot of respect for him irrespective of his talent. After reading this it just shows that the complaining has been a continuing trend for some time.
I mean, you're a pro skier, is life really that bad?
 
you know what I notice the most about reading old threads. none of those ridiculous pictures! Seriously the hate and drama has always been here and always will, but those pictures haven't and hopefully will go soon.
