i just got back PC and i have to say, seeing this as a sticky is pretty lame. way to put what pros think above us all. there have been intelligent rants that were pages long saying similar things and adding viewpoints on this site. no sticky there. whatever.
 
if you guys (mods) made a thread about what needs to change about this site and make reference to this thread i think that that would be perfectly fair and accomplish much more, but this exact thread has been made before and shouldnt be a sticky

The problem with NS is the fact that it's so big. People (including myself) act completly different on somthing like this because they don't know anybody and it's just not the same as real life. On most of the smaller sites people are just better. I've been trying to act like I normaly would now when I go on NS and I urge everyone to do the same
 
well i think it's a good sticky, because Jacob W was the only pro that posted in threads in the NSG and the other forums, he was definitely just another member. I don't know of any other skiers with his fame that bother posting on this website...
 
i'll be honest, this thread actually made me think about hating on people and how dumb it is. im going to change my waysman. thanks for making us see how important what we say is. maybe we can all change and chill people like jacob will stay on ns and post sick videos for us all to drool over. peace man and i hope you come back

yeah i dont know what i just had a shitty day. i think jacob was one of this sites best members, this is like umm vicious leaving ya know? its bullshit and it doesnt need to happen. its a good sticky, i think at the time i just remebered some of the like 7 page threads on it and how many people typed out like essays about it.
 
i love NS. there's always going to be the people who just make fun of everyone just because they think they can gain attention in the virtual world, since they can't in the real world. you just gotta ignore those posts and laugh, like this, WHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. Something along those lines. skip past the insults and look at all the good stuff there is on here.

Although sowme ppl are douchebags, some are real freeskiers that have questions and need advice. Being one of the top freeskiers u shoodnt ditch skiing's community just becuz someone said, "use the searchbar"
 
why would you make an away post? no one cares that you are leaving and im not trying to sound like an ass. but does it really help that you made that post? will it change ns? nope
 
if you havent noticed.. there are 4 pages on this already, and people do aparently care. he is leaving because he has given up on all the little fuckers on this site which would mean that he isnt interrested so much in changing ns now...
 
i dont think it is fair for Jacob to leave a site that helped boost his career. i mean he is a damn good skiier but this site gave him a TON of exposure. I also think it is very stupid and immiture of him to leave instead of trying to fix the site. You may be only one member but look at all the influence you have already had in this post. If you could focus that influence to inspire others to get behind you then you could make a difference. NS doesnt need people to leave we need people who will man up and try to make a difference instead of backing out. I am very disappointed in the NS members who are leaving the site becasue of some stupid comments. HELP FIX THE SITE. Dont back out or the site will never improve. And while i am on this rant i want to thank the mods and all the people who help put this site together. I love all of the news and basically everything on the front page. the fourms are fun too but I love being in the know. this site keeps me connected to the roots of the skiing community so thank you.
 
dude if you ever even mention parts about the site being messed up people get all over you, I think this makes the biggest impact, I mean Jacob ws the man, and he left because he thinks we suck. That sucks.
 
why are we wasting time posting to this?(I know, I'm a hipocrite) Seriously. The only reason some people are on this site is because they love skiing. I surf it when i'm bored. If someone wants to make a thread saying they want to leave, let them goddammit. Dont diss him because you are a "higher-up" person in NS. IT DOESNT MATTER!!! Just trying to put some wisdom in here fellas. Hope you all take the advice and ditch the assholing.

You just proved my point...you think acting gangsta is part of our sport? Do you think he is being hypocritical or something? I'm not quite sure of your argument, and to throw Pep's name in, who I've known and looked up to a long time isn't gonna get you anywhere with me either...Next to tanner, I believe pep has been a very big influence to our sport also. You didn't hear about him coming back from mad injuries to do 90 foot zeros 3 years ago, pretty much starting the tailslide, nosepress era, not to mention designed the one of the first "park specific/rail specific" skis on the market...yeah, he can bitch about whatever the fuck he wants...and so can Wester.
 
shut up...people shouldnt have to deal with other peoples bullshit like there is on this site...it has been spiraling out of control and there have been many posts about it in the past, but like always, the people who have enough balls to stand up for themselves end up gettin ragged on and called gay and so on.
