I skied a lot as a kid in the 70s and 80s, but came late to the park scene at age 36. The learning curve has been long and steep, but every time I land a new trick I feel like a kid again. And I guess that is why I still ski park.
There is a great interview with Forest Bailey in the September issue of Transworld Snowboarding. The guy asked him what he's looking for in snowboarding. He said one of the reasons is it keeps him young. "It's just about trying to stay youthful. Being a kid is being happy, so I think that's a big part of it too. It's the search for eternal youth."
So chin up dude, and keep the shred alive!
