Thanks to everyone who gave me some positive feedback and plus karma. Just so I am not confusing anyone I in no way volunteered for this and do not feel I am a better person for doing this. The people who are volunteering through red cross to go down there are the real heros. I am just proud that my job gave me a way to give back.

I really jus wanted to share what I would be doing for the next two months, and give an example of how the military does do some good stuff for our world.

However those of you who think that all the Marines do is kill and eat babies........... you are very correct. You have uncovered my true reason for wanting to go down there, its been far too long since I have had a 3 baby omlete with haitian toast. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I cant wait its gonna taste so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Im actually a corporal E4. hopefully be pickin up Sergeant in a month or two. I have been in the Corps since 2004.

and yes babies crushed in the earthquake are more tender but they dont tend to make good jerky which is another of my favorite baby recipes.
 
oh, yes I ski. I am pissed that i will miss this winter to be in 90 degree haiti but sometimes u have to sacrifice for the greater good.

and if anyone is wondering how I am still posting, the orders got pushed back to this upcoming week, looks like I wont be leaving till wednesday or thursday now.
 
why are you in the military? i dont wanna be in the military because you can chill lol, whats so great about it?
