well i bought a shuffle a couple of minths ago from best buy. my mom put my pants in the wash, with the shuffle in the pocket. it still works... sometimes. alot of the time the buttons dont work. and the battery cant seem to hold a charge. do i have to send it in to apple to get it fixed, because 'i didnt put in thru the wash or anythiing stupid like that'

what are you guys hating on shuffles for? 120 songs in a tiny ass player, for 100 bucks? whats wrong with that? maybe theyre not as "cool" as the 300 dollar (or whatever) 20 GB ipods, but theyre a good idea

Send it in. I lost my Ipod then found it...it was outside for 3 weeks. Clearly, it was rained on since it was outside for 3 weeks. It didn't work. I sent it in to apple, and a week later had a brand new one at my house. Just don't tell them what happened to it...just mention what is wrong with it. They've got good customer service. They even mail you a prepaid box to mail it in and shit, its awesome.

you probably shouldn't have used it until you were sure it was completely dry. since it doesn't have a harddrive it would've still worked as long as it was dry. but yea, send it in.

they are mass manufacturing those things - just send it in, they'd rather cough up the 50 cents it took them to make it and send you a new one than hassel you and lose a customer.

and if i had to guess, you're definetly not the first one to put his ipod thru the wash.

send it back for sure. just say it stopped working. One of my roomates at college has been doing this forever with Ipods. Everytime a newer one comes out he just microwaves his current one and either goes to an Apple store or sends it back and they replace it. he began with a 2G I believe and now has the current color click-wheel. He just likes to fuck them, I think. But it works everytime.

i have the first ipod, dropped it on the ground, it still works but the sound is fuzzy, will they warranty that even though it's like 3 years old?
