"im not gonna lie"

Def starting to pick up in WA. Kinda annoying because you basically know right then and there that the person is about to tell a lie.

but um, yeah it was big in michigan for a while, not gonna lie we still say it some times.
 
agreed my friend says it 24/7! and after being around her sometimes i catch myself doing it but thats only been once or twice
 
There was this one kid who always used to say "Dude, trust me." it was so annoying because he was a compulsive liar and you really couldnt trust him...

Last time I said "I'm not gonna lie" was to this one kid I know when I told him I banged his girl.....
 
i never really heard the "im not gonna lie" saying around Illinois or Wisconsin. just must have jumped over the midwest. good thing because i hate stupid overpalyed sayings. but people are still doing those stupid dave chappelle lil john quotes. that is like 2 years old.
 
ya phrases definetly move west. in 3rd grade i used to say " i know you are but what am i" and when i went out to california last year some kid said that to me...it took 7 years to get there but it got there
 
ha i used to say it a ton cuz this girl i knew said it a ton and it caught on to me but ive kinda chilled with it
 
new york state we're sayin it but usually its after the phrase you say:

-"how was the physics test?"

-"it was pretty hard, im not gonna lie"
 
people in my school say it, mainly this one kid tho, now its starting to catch on
 
that weird cause im in nova scotia aswell and ive never heard it used that often.
 
i say it. i try not to but its just caught on. actually i spend way to much time around the same group of kids and we all talk exactly the same now and "im not gonna lie" is one of the things we all tned to say

my little phrase thing is walkin around with my fingers in the shape of a gun yellin "WHAT NOW BITHC, WHAT NOW!" pointin in peoples faces
