this will be my first full season of park skiing. i have found many people on this site who are willing to help me out, ie giving me pointers and such. yet there are always the few who consistantly say "u suck", and other put-downs. i look at their porfiles, and almost all of these people have no videos. i hate it. all u see on this site is hate, when we should be helping eachother out. to get better, you need "guidance" or tips from those who have been where you have. we all have to learn sometime. anyway, that my point

Yeah man. Just ignore those that choose to put you down. Only pay attention to constsructive critism, and if they continue to be jerks, message mikee and he'll beat them up for you.

Your a shit face that needs to his balls incerted into his body....ok sunshine.

And ride Mo2 you have a very good point, what i sugest is not to listen to much if not anything of what people tell you on this site. Just read mags, watch vids, and go skiing....nothing else man.

well then bro, i recomend starting out with 180s. do them over tables ranging in all sizes. get comforable riding switch. take runs on groomers and figure out how to turn and carve switch, so you dont become a retarded kid who can only straightline switch. then, find a nice pow day and start hucking 3s. spin to eat your ear, then one you feel your body rotating, take it easy with the huck spin, and maybe try crossing your skis and grabbing. for rails, well, pretend jumping onto a rail is like running and jumping onto a stationary skateboard. speed will help you, and keep it forward. then, hit me back when you can do this.

Yah it's true, but what that one guy said above just try to ignore the meanies on here.

On a side note, don't you hate it when you're riding and some other person riding twins sees you, then they look at you, judging you. I hate that judging stare, happens all the time at my mountain, a lot of the guys are nice, but that judging stare man... I dislike it.

I totally know what you're saying man, I hate that shit. It's somewhat less of an issue now that skiing is coming back and there are as many skiers as boarders in the park but that used to bug me a lot. You'd see a guy rocking twins and you'd think you'd both be stoked on it but instead you'd end up trying to one up each other in a futile battle for some sort of percieved moral superiority in which one combatant ultimately reigns supreme in the quest to dominate a tiny region in a niche sport that is all but totally obscure to the vast majority of people. What I'm saying in my own drunken, rambling, and long winded way is that I wish that those of us who are overly judgemental on the hill (intentionally or unintentionally) would just cool the fuck out and try and ski for the sake of skiing, not to prove to the random people you probably don't know and won't likely see again that on this particular day you are undoubtedly the most badass guy on the hill

i used to be influenced by peoples comments cuz im not pro, i just wanna ski and have fun. i recently just decided that why should i care what people who i dont even know think about my skiing, i really only care about the opinion of the "friends" i have on this site

as far as learning to ride park, start with 180s and hucking 3s off little jumps just to work on spin, then try some grabs too, and then add spins and grabs. with rails, dont push it with rails, start off with alot of boxes to get the fore-aft feel of a box/rail. all i gotta say is practice, have fun, and just try hard

the dreaded "what you got boi" stare, i dont get it at all from people on my mountain, but when i got to like park city or sun valley, thas all i c from those chumps. This year when i get it from someone though, i think im gonna make a witty comment and then ski away and bust a fatty cork 7, that would surely get their goat... right on.

hahahah dont worry about man, most of these people you will find spend waaay more hours a day TALKING about skiing on here rather than actually skiing. so if you want to be better than about 70% of the kids on this site, just get out there and ski, youll already be way ahead of the game. it can all be surmised in the signature:

"NS: Who have you hated on today?"

so dont worry man, youll soon realize whos chill (a lot of people) and who isnt (generaldisodr/bryan gallant).

ya alot of these kids here are posers and want to say they are a part of ns and just ignore them cause it always happens except in that 360 thread...that is a hall of fame one i think none of that stuff

Just get used to it, it's not changing anytime soon.

There's a thread like this from a noob about once a month.

the thing about those guys is they don't realise that nobody, not even one out of the billions of people on the internet like them

some people hate on Tanner. see so your pretty much just like Tanner.....

OK maybe not but who fucking care what others think

AlpinePlease just gave the best advice for learning rails ever. never thought of it that way. jumping onto a stationary skateboard...

anyway, it's like what they say going to prison is like- beat up the first guy you see on here and you'll never become anyone's bitch; let people walk all over you, and you're gonna be taking it up the ass.

thanks bro, I get the sauce in me and it gets me all riled up like which every now and then leads to internet gold

well said. and yeah, don't worry what people say. even though your a "noob" on this site, you contribute to this site than alot of the others.
