Ok, I'm buying arv's. I just don't know which ones. Tell me which deal you think I should take a or b. I'm 5'11' and 150lbs.

Both last years.

A) 185 ARV

New

Marker 1400ti bindings used for a season

Better skis worse bindings

B) 175 ARV

used 7 times

Rossi Power 100 used 7 times

Used but I like the bindings better

Less money

Help me out!

 
are you skiing alot of BC or a BC park mix. or mostly park and some BC. if its 1 or 2 get the longer skis if you do mostly park get the smaller skis that is right on the line. I would go bigger especially if ur growing.

the only thing is the marker bindings kinda suck so its close if you do more then 60% park get the 175.

175 is too short for you if your gettin armadas

Go with the longer skis. If you are only %20 park you will be happy to have the extra length on the rest of the mountain.

 
Maybe if you are only doing 10% pow you should look at a ski about 80mm in the waist, 90 isnt so quick egde to edge do matter what ski it is. Go with a Public enemy, a ski which can do it all. 80mm in the waist is enough to float in pow, but is so much quicker egde to edge. It is also cheaper so you can get a good set of bindings to boot. Or maybe even the fugitive, which has a wider waist. Belive me, I went from 1080s to 4frnt MSPs, and the 1080s can cruse 10 time better than the 4frnts, although the 4frnts are better in almost every other aspect of skiing.

 
I think they are 90mm at the waist, just like my 4frnt msps (92mm). 10mm makes alot of difference in edge to edge quickness. Just thought I would put in my two cents.

 
i would say 185s becasue of your height. i hope the losing sleep thing is a joke, becasue if that is true you need a life. not like i have one, but i can tell you would need one

what the fuck who cares about your steezy looking or not get the 176's theyre easier and look just as cool. 185s are fucking ginoarmus. like unless your like eric pollard laying it down in da pow or some shit get the 176's and dont be a prick. ooohh yeah i need mad guilla steeze yo. gotta look stylin for the ho's at my comps. what the fuck longer skis arent that much different get the 176's. theyre like perfect.

^^yea listen to jake. fuck it, its only 10 centimeters or so, I think people on this site forget how small that is. Get the 175's for sure. I'm 5'10 and I was riding 160 AR5s before I bought 175 tm's and they were solid skis.

I'd go with B. Those skis will be perfect length for you unless your only like 14 and have years of growing left to do. I'm 6' and I rock some 172's and love them. As someong said above though your going to lose some edge to edge with that ski if your 70% outta the park and only 10% pow. Look for something with a 78-80mm waist and you'll have more fun 70% of the time.

winter is just about over. Get something and ride. Each ski is different for every rider. Get one that fits you. How should we know your riding style. Just demo some or blind guess. I have some 04/05 PE's. Solid cheap ski for what I do. If you end up hating what ever you get, just don't beat them to death and just sell them next fall and get some new gear.

 
dude you seriously just need to fucking pick up a pair of skis, I'd go w/ the STL's that's a good deal, but do what you want, just stop making useless threads on finding the cheapest ski possible and which ski you should buy
