I'm liking the stickies in the Ski Equipment forum

There is some good stuff in there. But how long will they stay?

I've seen websites put multiple FAQs into forums as stickies, and they are never taken down. Eventually there are 7 stickified threads at the top and it just seems weird.

Once it gets to 5 or 6 stickies about various common gear questions, would it be worth moving them to a real gear guide section of the site? The problem with taking things out of the forums are that they won't be as visible and discussed as often.

well it seem as though nobody uses the classifieds to sell all their great stuff because it takes too long!! so i was thinking maybe a "for sale" forum? that way it is seperate from the ski equipment forum. a sticky wouldn't work for that because it would be bigger than the hot chick thread after a while. i don't think it's bad the way it is, but just a idea to help everyone buy and sell their gear faster.
