i really fucked up my thumb on a rail and i had to get surgery on my thumb and they put 2 medle poles into my thumb and there sticking out by like two inches. I cant ski the rest of the season

yea that really sucks man my brother had the same thing a while back... i hate fuckin up my thumb... luckily i havent done it this year but i broke/sprained my thumb about 3 times last year... but theres always a first for this year so im gonna keep my fingers crossed

im sorta injured, i took a jump and got all wierd in the air and landed way too backseat on the landing and the two big muscles on each of my legs ripped. but thats not a real injury its just annoying. I guess i should streach next time.

Being out there skiing every day, good or bad, just playing around with friends, with no contests or filming- that is the real spirit of skiing for me. that is why i started skiing, and if i lose those moments that is what will make me stop skiing.
 
yeh rails and big boxes are harsh on thumbs...always landing on them and smashing them off the rail

 
my thumbs is busted too, except fuck surgery, i'd rather ski with pain than not ski at all.

i watched my best friend snap his leg on a rail and go into shock. on his fifth surgery a month later he got an infection and they almost had to amputate his leg to save his life. fuck ski injuries

^ya i guess your right, but im on spring break in Florida, and im not aloud to swim or it else my thumb will get infeced then i would have to have surgery. My hand is so weak that i cant carry a ski pole

one of my friends smacked his hand on a rail and broke his finger but he got a cast and it still riding

I broke my thunmb about a week ago and its in a cast. Also, two days ago at mount snow I was going off the 75fter, and as i was pushing with my skis to get speed I caught an edge and it was too late to stop so i hate to go off it withought enough speed so i under shot by about 10 ft. Im out for a couple weeks cause of my knees.

 
thats nothing man. i broke my entire hip in January, and have been out since. has ruined my entire season. i might be able to ski late april. but i know how it feels. peace,,
