whats the best place right now? It just started snowing really hard but I dont know which place is best. I only want to ski powder if theres cliffs with flat takeoffs and long outruns, is Squaw good for that? I REALLY am dying to hit some park. Does Northstar groom every morning?
 
I wanna hit Squallywood at some point in my life.... and N* has a legit park. MAybe try Boreal for park. Shit's mad cheap and way fun.
 
boreals the place to be for a fun park. check out Alpine Meadows too...legit park, and some good lines too.
 
im coming tomorrow to visit unr and ski, ill probably be at alpine from friday to sunday, cause thats where my friendwho goes there rides, is alpine the best choice, in north tahoe? i hear northstar doesnt have much more than park
 
come to Tahoe dude. Its fucking sick. As I write this, my hair is still wet from the hot tub; I have Teddybear Crisis blaring on the TV, and Im eatig Abba Zabbas and cherry Yogurt. Bliss!
 
boreal is cheap, but SQUAW owns all other mountians... If your looking for skiing, and money isn't an issue go to squaw. If not, u could go to boreal but honestly, there park has no flow. Squaw has a good park right now and so does alpine. northstar is overrated, and heavenly sucks.
 
squaw blows. don't do it. unless you drive a convertable porsche to the mountains, sip on starbucks on the gondola ride up, couldn't live without a little ice skating, and topping it off with a nice hot tub. boreal's park is 100 times better same with alpine, and alpine has a good mountain to go with it. northstar is fun if you hit it at the right time but most of the time it is super crowded.
 
im flying into tahoe tomorrow morning and staying at northstar for 12 days, anyone want to meet up there and hit some park, maybe show me around?
 
lucky people.. i was there a few weeks ago and the parks were slushy and slow as hell, and everything else was just slushy with rocks sticking up from the snow. but i dunno, sierra is my fav, i like the feel of the place.
 
Yeah, Sierra is pretty fun! I was there on monday, although it got pretty slushy fast. I love sliding on the Block Box, for some reason its really really fun!
 
I was at Alpine yesterday and it was pretty damn awesome. I love Squaw though too-but if it's the morning after a storm get in line at like 7:30 in the morning if you want first tracks.

If your a gaper who cant do anything. South Shore Soldiers park is the best right now.

Best Jumps- Alpine or Sierra

Best Jibs- Heavenly - N*- Boreal

Best Real skiing- Squaw but if your broke Kirkwood
 
Lol.. it cracks me up when people actually forward mount skis... I ski switch just fine, and my scratches are mounted like 3cm behind tru center.

nope sleaze coast is currently melting snow, slush puddles, and the occasional dirt pile to jump over or around yeah or yeah and rails leaning to the side and wobbly, and jumps that you cant even straight air that are about 25 feet cause its so slow rad!
 
im here.. skied squaw today (which FUCKING ROCKS!!!!!!), alpine meadows tomrrow. then its on to N*, the land of shit with a semi-decent park...
 
northstars park is fucking shitty this year. Squaws is better this year believe it or not if u want both sick lines and a smooth park, go to squaw. also the pipe was built for the honda ski tour so you might wanna hit that up. 20' walls are pretty legit.
 
OH MY GOD!!!!! tahoe????? are you fucking kidding me????? that must be so fucking sick to be there!!! especially at NORTHSTAR!!!!! amazing!!!!

haha. just kidding. Northstar is gay as fuck right now. I ride there every day. the Nationals park may actually be cool though.
 
I skiied squaw this weekend, it was pretty fun. The park right off of siberia was good, the pipe was definetly the best part. The step up table to the jump off (i have no idea what you would call it) is also fun. I saw some skiers killing it sunday who had white and grey jackets on who took the last runs in the pipe before they closed it sunday to recut it, was that anyone on here? I had a blue jacket on sunday and a white line hoodie on saturday with olive pants if anyone remembers me looking like a complete gaper in the park
