Im gonna laugh my fuckin ass off when everyone finds out that armada skis are no better than what is previeously out on the market. All this hype being created is just so that when the skis are readily availible for people to bye, people will have a biased opinion already thinking they are great, it will take some time for the company to produce quality skis, they have a stacked team and is cool cause the company is rider owned and operated. I also think its funny how two or three years ago when LINE started making twins everyone was LINE bound because they were a rider owned and operated company, But line had some bad luck and their skis fell to shit the first year, then year after year they have been getting better. Now everyone says lines suck cause their first pair of line skis were skis that were still being perfected. The skis have gotten better in quality over the past two years and line is starting to produce quality stuff. Right now there skis are really park oriented but you can tell with this years skis line is trying new stuff out to make there skis more versitile than jkust the park. Unless ARMADA skis are above all the competition on the market in all aspects of riding, people are gonna loose faith fast and go back to other companys that have been proven. Now lets shut the hell up with all the ARMADA posts

Alright you're missing the point of this company. No one is saying that these skis are going to be better than anything currently on the market (it's their first year). I think one of Armada's aims is to show newschool skiing as a viable, self-sufficient industry. Their team obviously cares about the future of this sport and they probably didn't like seeing racers making over a millions dollars while the vast majority of pros in our sport struggled to make a living. Sure the skis will be good but it's the image, the idea that founded armada that people should be paying attention to. Read Levin's post from June about this.

i would bet that armada is just a branch off of rossignol so that the company can make more money.

They sound sick tho im probably going to buy a pair cause im an idiot and just look at what the pros have.

you gotta realize that Armada hasn't hyped anything. they had to keep it quiet because of the riders leaving other companies and people basically chatted it up and made it something it's not. They're just skis, I'll probably buy some eventually because I'd rather put my money there than at rossi or salomon.

its always good to see new ski companies... it shows our sport is growing... why do you even care if the skis suck, if they do, dont buy em.. But you support this company, then your supporting righteous and supporting the righteous is good!

 
i must agree, new companies are needed. but i think armada could have done a bit better with the information on the website. I was so pumped to see the skis today and what did i get? a little message saying we will show off the models of our skis in mid/late november. I am greatly disapointed.

 
Dont think of it as such a big deal but Armada is what makes our sport so great. When the first pair of twins came on to the market (which by the way where not 1080's) nobody beleaved in our sport. Today you have to look at it as one of the fasted growing sporst in the world. Free skiing is one of the greatest sports not because of the popularity but becuase everyone is so tight with eachother and we all support eachother in what we do. So dont try to talk down to armada saying they will suck but for the frist time we are one of the great sports that have the small companies being on top like LINE and now Armada may be on its way. So support the companies that support you

 
I agree with most of ye, the whole idea of the company is to improve the sport. Look at it, there are no middle men, and it is the first semi-major company that is starting off with slopestyle. I don't know about you, but that is 1 ballsy move, considering that line only got popular because it caught on at the best possible time, to ski blades.

i agree that its a company dedicated to the riders but there are lots of peopel posting on how great armada is and how everyone should buy armada when no one knows what its like and if the skis arent up to par it will be a great upset to everyone else and we might have another LINE thing where lots of people dislike the products cause of one bad year, just my opinion.

 
yeah, unfortunately people are STILL saying that lines delam, even though that hasn't been true for a couple of years. that's how powerful first impressions are, so armada better hope they've got their shit together or ALOT of kids are gonna be dissapointed

 
those ppl that r like, armada is there too seeif there can be a newschool only company that survies is retarded. Line tried that and almost went under. Now they are making quality skis, and they might fight back to the top./ But ppl r gona get armadas and see how crappy they r(if they r crappy) and lose faith in all of the newschool only companys.

man they will be just as good as any other ski, you think the riders would give an honest opinion since they are the people that will have to ride them, so they woulnd't want ot be stuck with a shitty skis that they would have to be on for there lives, so thats why armada will be just as good as any other ski out there, will it be better? who knows they aren't out yet, but i doubt they will suck , time will tell though

ya, the guys riding the skis arent just riding so they can ride a great ski, the reason the pros are riding them is so that they can support the company, what technology do you think they have which will be so much better than any other ski company out on the market?

 
The only reason that it is as big of a deal as it is, is because everyone makes it that way. If everyone is complaining about it and obviously getting nowhere, shut your yaps and get on with life.

Never once should you second-guess the power of a woman on skis...in more ways than one.
