Im gonna fail my chemistry midterm in approximently 5 days

an ion is the charge of an element

a cation means that the ion has a positive charge

an anion means that the ion has a negative charge

if you have trouble forgetting cation and anion's charged think of it this way

cat=good(positive) for cation

ant=bad(negative) for anion

that helped me alot
 
how many chapters of chem do you have? divide that by 5 and get studying, dont waste time and buckle down do like 15 minute breaks ever hour and you should be fine
 
Get off NS and start making notecards. Make notecards of all your notes, then study them for 2 days. Then do practice problems for 2 days,  If you can do that, you can pass. I passed my Organic Chemistry class, which is (pardon the arrogance) probably harder than whatever class it is you're in right now, using this method and I had less than a 50% coming into the final.
 
know empericals and moles like its your job. be able to start anywhere in the mole process (molecular, amu, or mole) and convert.
 
what grade/chemistry are you in?
i took chem last quarter...so a lot of stuff is pretty fresh. Good luck! do hundreds of practice problems....!
 
keep up that attitude, go into that test knowing your gunna fail. then feel cool about it.
 
that sucks for you that it was today. too bad you didn't study, that was stupid. chem is pretty easy i mean at least to get a C or B in. hell i have a high B in chem, and i haven't studied once...
 
ya like for example if you had Al3+ that would be an ion or cation (3+ is in superscript) and if you had Na- (- is in superscript) that would be an ion or an anion just look to see if there is a positive or negative symbol after the superscripted number
 
well ya see here you could try to study hardcore

but u prolly don't have a chance if u say ur ready to

fail and have no time to study so hopefully ull sit behind or next

to a smart person and can copy them and pass it, thats wat id do
 
I had the same problem last year. Know your refernce table 85% percent of the answers are in there believe it or not. and idk about you but an 85 is quite nice for chemistry
