IM GOING TO UofM

food... good enough. I ate with a bunch of spoiled snotty freshman twerps last year, and they all were over it, but if you've cooked on your own, you'll think it's the shit.

I mean how can you pass up all you can eat ice cream every day?

dorm mayhem... I got put on probation after I re-themed my hall way into "the stallion house" and hung pictures of noorious gangster rappers, guns, cash, and quotes by bad asses up all over the place. that was just the beginning. we had 5 matresses in our room and pro wrestling/ mattress sports competitions regularly. we also lived in a co ed dorm, and refused to close the door while changing. sounds like your on the right program.

tranny orientation is the week before. all you do is meet an adviser, and get a scheduling number. skip everything else.

sounds kick ass dude. Let me know when you find out. we will have to rage.

who will be at the orentaion right befor classes begin? cus i will be there and looking for stuff to do. and also on a more important note, what is the ski season dates and shit. should i take my skis with me now or ship them out over thanksgiving break or when i go home for christmas get them then? whats the deal??? im used to east coast ski season that starts around christmas for me usually so idk much.

If I get accepted for sure, I will be at that orientation... definitely.

As for the seasons of the ski areas, from researching them it looks like thanksgiving is about the time everything starts coming together for the season.. and places look like they open in early december. Standard - Just like here in California, for the most part.

I'm defintely going to bring at least a pair of park skis, or two but seeing as I probably dont want to ship all 12 pairs of skis up there later on, I'll probably select 4 or so of the ones i'm most definitely going to use, and keep the rest at home so I dont have to bring skis if i come home for a few days.

I'm in missoula as of a week from today.

And if you want to ski back country skiing starts happening in october. GNP is open before then. If you haven't skied any BC or don't want to, rail jams start happening at great divide right around thanks giving, and the SAGA kids are usually setting up rails all fall.

So it's really up to you man. You never know when the freak october/ november storm drops. It's also a sketchy time to ski avy wise, but there are some safer places to get some turns in.

Wild Wood is usually the first weekend of November.

that is so cool. Im jacked for that. but also i have not ever really gone completely backcountry so im even more excited for that

no way dude, if we sacrifice a few people early this year I hear we'll get a better winter.

I'd recommend he goes solo, or with a bunch of snowboarders who are really heavy on their heel edge.

jokes.

ahahaha this makes me happy, will the snow gods be apeased by only a couple? maybe we should go up with some goats and other goodies for them for a hearty winter?

I have a good question...

what are the best residence halls? Seeing as I might live on campus for the first semester at least (seeing as I dont know ANYONE in montana right now haha), what are the best, and for that matter, worst residence halls to be in and why are they as such?

check the facebook group "University of Montana 2013" it might help you get some more opinions and shit. kinda helped me, but i havnt checked it in a while, but im livin in aber and i heard that the dorm is focused on outdoors and recreation so it sounds apealing. go to the uofm website and it gives some dorm descriptions.

i have not lived there yet so i guess message other people in this thread i guess? there was a girl on page one of this thread who i think if i remember she said she can answer anyones questions. good luck

Miller, Craig, Duniway, Knowles, Elrod and there is another one by Duniway and MIller that kinda has like "Apartments", cant remember the name of it though. But those are the good dorms if I can remember correctly. Yea you should def live in the dorms, you will get to know a bunch of people that way.

I wouldnt really wanna live in Aber or Jesse cause they are like small skyscrapers and I wouldnt want to have to live on the higher up floors. I guess if you got a lower floor it wouldnt be too bad.

live in ka-now-lees. (knowles) for some reason every kid i befriended last year that lived on campus lived there. and they were all rowdy.

I have been officially accepted and Admitted to the university of montana.

I'll be coming up somewhere around the 23rd - 25th. Who wants to rage!?

Do eeeeet. I got accepted so fast and the process for everything was so easy even financial aid was super easy... its worth it to at least give it a shot.

Ahhh I cant wait to come up... Who's gonna be in Aber? I'm going to throw down some retarded sick parties there... you guys better be ready to get destroyed.

Anthony Bourdain's show last night was on Montana. I'm in the process of e-mailing with the director of the program at U of M, so we'll see what happens.
