I'm going out on a limb

I don't really like Simon that much... I had a realization after watching picture this by Mac Dawg Productions.  I mean, you watch those guys session and there all soo smooth and styly.  There was a pipe section with Shawn White and some other Kid who was SOO ILL, but when you watch them they're just so fluid and I can't see that in anything Simon does.  I'll give him credit for stomping big shit but in the long run I think that is going to hurt skiing if it goes in the direction he is taking it

who gives a shit honestly. just give it up on hating on the pros. no one wants to listen to your bitch complants. sorry to come off as a dick im just sick of people hating on guys that absolutely trash everyone here at skiing. just stop the haten and have some fun.

wait till you meet simon in person hahahahahahaha.

who cares, don't get worked up over it,

just have fun and ski the way you think skiing should be.

You don't like Simon very much. And.......? We care why? I don't like bush very much, doesn't mean I'm going to go make a thread about it.

i guess if your into skiing alot maybe it bugs you when the wrong people are making bank and noones speaking up about it, so they keep making bank.

not that it is my opinion! just lending you some insight!

I just find it funny that people use to hate on GT for doing 12's and 14's in the pipe but if simon does it its the coolest thing ever.

Its natural progression, and nobody really has to much control over it, with the exception of a few really influential people. Constricting that progression will put the sport in a worse position than just letting things flow. Let the truly dope aspects and trends of skiing survive and prosper and the less popular aspects die slowly. Its how its always been.

Can someone post a video of him ..idk what style is cool and what isnt i just wanna see what the argument is about

hilariously true. he also pre-empted neon colors and the comeback of the one piece. it's funny how things GT did as jokes are trends now.

progression isn't a line. its a circle and athletes are pushing it from every direction. Its good that there are athletes like pep throwin switch shit in the bc while jamie drops 200+ cliffs. We need riders throwin 14s and riders throwin dub nose cab 7s. There's gonna be pipe riders like dumont and there will be riders like stefan thomas. Progression isn't bad and the fact its going in so many directions is a testament to how fast skiing is growing. It'll all balance out in the end. I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

Yeah if you don't like Simon's style get good enough so you can be in the X games and ski pipe how you think it should be skied. Most people that don't ski or snowboard but watch the X games will think simon is better because he goes better. If this was about style tell me that skiing doesn't do better grabs like truck, mute, tail, octo list goes on.

Ur not taking into consideration that hes the guy doing 12's in the pipe on the xgames etc, and landing it. And everytime he lands one, he does it a little better.

then that pushes the envelope... Im not talking 4 digit spins with no grabs. think smooth 10's and 12's or whatever, doubles... flats.... whatever... itll get better and smoother. and fast.

and for the record, ski pipe is way better than board pipe. only one reason why, airtime. No one does smooth 10s in the pipe on a snowboard, their only grab is that tail. and its not very steezy at all. But thatll get better too... hear that!

good point. remember the first big air where cusson hucked a cab 7. Now its considered the steeze trick. Only difference is people were stoked on his cab 7 while dumonts 12s are masked with hate. We all huck tricks at first and slowly grabs catch up with us. Don't hate on new tricks. If anything hate on judging that rewards a run with no right side spins in it.

Simon grabs wierd. Does he like forward mount his skis or somethin cuz when he grabs mute it looks so uneven ya heard?

His style doesn't really do it for me, aside from his cork 3s.

That has no bearing on how he is a person though, and as I have never skied with him, I am not qualified to comment on that aspect.

you guys are all so gay... so caught up in your own world of newschoolers pride that you automatically think I'm hating when I'm just a) stating an opinion and b) giving constructive thought to the developement of our sport.

Really though, you can disagree but your heads are so far up your ass and you've spent soo much time splooging over newschoolers that you go straight the the generic response of telling someone off before you even understand what they're trying to say
