after an email battle between getboards, they agreed to warranty my invaders for the new ones, and give me 250 in store credit for my reactors. what bindings should i get? im thinkin the look px12 jibs. they sound solid, any other suggestions?

i like the rossi / look setup, except if you backseat badly the heel piece gets real personal with you arse.

i prefer sal 912 ti's, or z12s whatever they are now.

but if u can getm, everyone whos riding 4frnt deadbolts this year seems to lovem.

yeah my deadbolts are a dream, lighter than looks and rossis and way more solid and less brake drag then looks, invest in 4frnts or die!!!!

DO NOT GET SALOMON BINDINGS. trust me man you dont wanna go and do that. I had salomon S812 Ti's or something and they were terrible. I moved to look P12 Jibs and altho they are a tad heavier, its like night and day, no prereleasing nothing.

Get the jibs, you wont be disappointed.

I would reccomend PX12's aswell. I've never skied the 4Frnt bindings, so i can't make judgement on those, but i would definately NOT recommend Salomons. They prerelease all over the place.

Not at all. All these people that have problems with their salomons either land in the backseat way to much or don't even know what a DIN setting is. Salomons are built to have higher wing tension, so your feet don't slip out to the side, unlike Rossis and Look bindings, which focus on vertical tension. I pop out of my Looks all the time because I take off and land carving, but I never pop out of my Salomons because I know how to ski forward.

I disagree they suck for racing as well. Its to do with the lack of elasticity in the release mechanism. The shape of the release cam favors release over retention; that is, the toe has a tendency to release under small impacts rather than "snap" back to center.

Z12's might be okie if you din is under say 11 to be safe. Just get whatever's cheap and good, dont blow it all on binders but dont skimp.

no more, the z series eliminated the adjustable toe peice. they are the lightest bindings out there, i love em and have never had problems with prereleasing.

i had trouble with shitty salomon bindings before, but this year i got apair of the new and improved z12 ti's. theyre good so far cept the lower heel plate i fixed. but other than that theyre light as balls.

look/rossi have a great retention system, but as i have mentioned in a diff thread, the pivots have a brake clip that can snap off pretty easy.

Salomons are pretty good too. You just have to keep up with toe adjustments on the wing toe boots. When people don't keep those adjustments in check is when they start to have pre-release issues
