i work at a super market and i'm in the union. every once in a while we get bonuses and such from our job. today, was one of those times. except, my jobs decides it's fair to give some people $200 dollar bonuses and others $.10 raises. as you can tell, i got the $.10 raise and i'm ready to go in tomorrow and flip the fuck out. what are you opinions? i don't see how this is the least bit fair. i have no idea how they determine who gets what either.
 
i feel like the 10 cent raise would help me out more, just cuz i would blow the 200 in like a week
 
Hey man just think, after 2,001 pay checks you'll have earned 200 dollars and 10 cents. And those dumbasses who got the bonuses will have already spent it.
 
how long will you be working there for? how long have you been working there?

I suggest if this is a job you have been at for awhile or even a little. you just shut up and take your 10 cents. You will use them as a reference and that will be worth more than 200 dollars one day.
 
yes, i fucking hate this place. they've been fucking with me for so long but it's the only job i can find. when i was starting out, my manager lied to my face and told me i was making the same as everybody else, but i was making $.50 less than kids my age working the same position. i resolved that, but they have some fucking nerve.
 
i've been there for a year, but as i just stated, they're fucked up people. they deserve someone to go ape shit on their ass.
 
unless you depend on it, quit and tell them to fuck off. unless you want a reference.

at first i thought you were getting a $10 raise but yeah i would be mad as fuck if I were you.
 
similar story: when i got back to Sydney recently i got a job as the register guy in a super busy cafe run by koreans. they told me a would start ib $15/hour, after my first shift they give me $60 ( 6 hour shift) and tell me coz it was training i got $10. Im like whatever so i do a full weeks work ( $585 for 39 hours $15/hour) and st the end of the week when they give me my paycheck one of the supervisors said they wanted to put me on smoothy making and pay me $13/hour. so i quit

Fuck dodgy employers bro, keep trying to find a new job. i did with better hours, fuckloads more pay ($25/hour) and way easier job
 
I doubt he would want to make a career choice as working at a super market and therefore not want to work there as much as possible. Just to earn the 200 he would have to put in 2000 hr (simple math), and lets be honest, 200$ up front is much better than working 2000 hr.
 
Waahhhh stop fucking crying. It's 200 measly dollars that you would probably just blow on food and other stupid shit in a week anyway. Maybe you should get a job somewhere else instead of bagging groceries if you hate it so much.
 
most grocery store workers have a union within the larger company that owned the grocery store.

I worked at No Frills and was in a union within Loblaws, a company with over 300,000 employees in Canada.

no, i have the job to save up for college because my parents won't be able to give me much. i've saved practically every check that i've made from this job so every dollar counts. go fuck yourself.
 
where do you live where they pay in 8.25? thats not even legal to pay anyone that little in Ontario, minimum for minors is 9.50 or something and if youre over 18 its 10.40 I believe. canada , just kickin ass again...
 
ontario min. wage is 10.25. i get 10.75 for instructing.

and to god., you get fucking tips? ive never seen anyone getting at tip before from ski instructing
