Im looking to get a new ski for next year, something fat 100-115 waist width that can handle groomers, some park and powder. Im 6'2 220lbs. I have 186 blends right now for reference?

Skis I have interest in right now (all 08-09)

189 Obsethed

191 P4

188 jj's

191 faction 13's

189 vct

what do you think I should get?

bacons would prob be to small for him, even tho they are sick skis.....why arnt u interested in next years blends. those are 100mm underfoot theywould be perfect for what your looking for.

Yeah, bacons are too short for me. If they came in like a 190 I would get them for sure. Im not really diggin next years blends. If they had some sort of rocker that would be a different story and they're a little short. Anyone else got any recommendations?

I wouldn't get 13s. Next years don't have a twin. The 191 3.Zero maybe, but its a pretty damn stiff ski and I would never take it in the park.

i just spent a buncha time on the obsethed at Baker, and its a hell of a ski. the tip rocker isnt so extreme that you feel it on groomers, (this ski can still handle groomers fine), but the tips NEVER dive under.they have a fairly mild flex pattern, but they are pretty damp, so even though they arnt 2x4 stiff, they still just glide through just about everything. very versitile ski, and the 189 is plenty big for someone your sized.

yeah, ski help threads have really gone to shit on ns lately. tgr forums are far more help when looking for info on bigger skis.

be that as it may, 189 obsethed would be ideal i think. you couldn't really go any bigger than that and expect any kind of performance in the park and on groomers. for a slightly stiffer, fatter but non rockered option, rossi steeze/s6 would be great for ya but you may feel 186 is a tad short. both are great skis though and i highly doubt you'd be dissappointed with either.

Surface Live Life 2s for the park.

But if you are really set on having a stiff ski then the regular Live Lifes would work fine too.

wow...did you even read that he weighs 220, I am right up there with that a sfb's would be terrible (for most people) they are way to soft...prphet 100s would be my recomendation.
