after skiing today I am utterly fed up with Steven's outright refusal to build new park features or even reasonably maintain the stuff they already have built. They should be fucking embarrassed to even call that run filled with shit humps and lame cock rides a "terrain park". The park crew is filled with a bunch of hacks that don't do shit except get paid to ride their own shitty park.

Grant and I are going to WAR!

Every time your punk ass goes up and rides that bullshit, fill one of these out. The upper managment does in fact read these, so be articulate and be clear on what you want to see happen. You can find the commment cards in guest relations.

If you seen him on the weekend be very clear when you speak to him and tell him something specific that you want to see done. If you think the landing on the waterfall is unsafely flat, then tell him. If you think there needs to be an actual transition into the main cockride, then tell him.

sounds like stevens is gonna loose a lot of their park rat passholders to snoqualmie next year. thats probably a couple hundred.
 
stevens has too much potential to be wasted like this. there is snow for a bloody change! but nothing has changed, nothing will change with people who lack dedication and effort in charge.

make a change!! make stevens better!!

fill them out. Make an effort to go to the main lodge to fill one out. It takes just a couple of minutes and it is vital to the future of the park. otherwise, it will remain stagnate.
 
I know John Gifford!!! It's cool that you want a better park but for real the park crew people are rad and are very nice. Stevens is real mellow the atmosphere is real chill. I LOVE IT! That sucks that you don't like it but no matter what you should be havin fun up there and you should for sure not be stressin about the park features. Go out and ski the mountain and find some natural jibs. PLUS it's been snowing a lot you should be out findin some untracked stuff. Central has some fun stuff up go there and the people there are nice too. It could be worse... atleast Stevens has a park it would be kinda poopy if there wasn't one at all. n/e way HAVE FUN PEACE
 
well see we're not staying the park crew members are bad people, but instead they are not fit for the job. it seems they really dont have vision, ambition, perserverience, etc. their jobs entitle them control over the park, and they are wasting time and resrouces. nothing changes, and nothing will. before we all know it mid april will roll around, the mountain will be closed, and the park will have been mediocre the whole time. the potential is what is so infuriating. it doesnt mean we arent having fun (good ol brennans trail race).

new snow is good (and I and others have certainly gone venturing for pow) but new snow should mean new features and revamped features in the park, not fucking carelessness and laziness.

being happy about mediocrity wont float with me. sure, they have a park, but it can certainly, without a doubt, be much, much better - and that is what we are going to war about. we want it to be better, and pushing for it by these means seems to be our only option. so fight for it, otherwise itll never get better
 
WHY WOULD YOU EVER WANT WAR? people go to the mountain to escape from shitty things. When I go to the mountain no matter what the weather I'm always soooo stoked, butterflies everytime. If I knew that I was going up to the mountain and having to be surrounded by people that want war in the mountain I would so not wanna go. Skiing is the only thing that makes me truly happy. Way too many positive vibes flowin up there and don't ruin it cause of the park that's rediculous! It would be best if you just peaced out before you start more negativity where it doesn't belong. But it would be even more dope if you just chilled out and realize if things are meant to change they will and if not move on. SMILE ATLEAST WE GOT SNOW TO SKI ON
 
all this thread is saying is that they want the park crew to do what they're PAID to do. they don't get paid to ride or smoke in the woods. they get paid to build and groom the park, and to make sure everything is safe. I'm not saying I could do better, but it's not what I get paid to do. that's their job. now I wouldn't go as far as to say WAR is the answer. I just think that if enough people voice their opinions, SOMETHING will happen or stevens will be losing a lot of business. I think it's easier to keep the business you have rather than lose it and have to fight for it back. I'm planning of writing a letter later this week.
 
sweet so now the pass is gonna get a bunch of fucking cry babies that used to talk mad shit about sno crummy or what ever the fuck they used to call it when all along the summit has killed it, yyou all made your bed now you get to sleep in it. some people get what they deserve.

Yah schwags, stevens has always sucked. Actually I have had some dope ass years there and will continue. Snoqalmie has the lowest elevation of any ski resort in north america.
 
likewise. i dont especially like riding there but i do alot of comps and ride their pipe, so i needed a pass. plus the offer was 100 bucks, couldnt pass that up.
 
i love the mountain wars, its funny as shit... just ride wherever the hell your family raised you to ride, thats what it comes down to right?

those that only ride snoqualmie dont give 2 shits about what happens at stevens, and so be it. but i want a better park, and being decietful lies, no effort, and paying for a pass make for ligitimate frustration
 
and the only thing they have done with it since they moved it to its new location is put dye the lip.

even with 4' of new snow, its still unhitable
 
someone(s) should just bring some shovels and screw what the people say nad sit there and build a damn hitable, vertical hit to the wall ride. that would at least help, mabye show them that since theyre not doing their job, were gonna have to take charge of it for them.
 
almost everybody is missing the point.

Almost all of the talented skiers in Washington had to move away to further progress their skiing. The Spongs went to Park city. A few years ago Andy and Ben packed up and went to Mammoth. Sam moved to Mammoth, there are others, and god knows I've thought about it.

The point is, I shouldn't fucking have to. Stevens has so much potential, normally they get plenty of snow and make plenty of money. There's just people out there who refuse to nurture the scene, and they're gonna have to go.
 
yeah that pisses me off. a kid at my skool rides stevens and hes always callin it snocrummy and talkin shit. stevens isnt very good either but i dont talk shit like he does.

its the main booter thingy. its like in the middle of the park, has its own inrun sort of thing, there is usually two side by side, the right smaller than the left

ooooo ok. for some reason i thoght it was "some cliff that u drop into at the start of hte park" but like i never knew of anything like that. ok yeha so its just hte main medium jump. well i gues big for stevens
 
^hahaha. that drop is SICK, but its not the waterfalls.

btw the waterfall (singular now!!!!) has a landing that is extremely steep, and the jump is super wide, and there were bairly any gapers over there today!! its doing its job, keeping the gapers away!
 
yea no pop at all. its smaller, but damn its great that its just one. with this new snow on the way, theyll be able to push it back, or so we can hope

what was amusing is the cock ride was closed yesterday, so they manually (hand) tried to make the cock ride hittable. ill give them credit for putting effort in that, but man that thing is so poorly set up. but within like 10 minutes of being open, the transition was just as mangled as before, fun
