Funny how daclause's photos in no way at all resemble the pile of shit of a pipe they opened today. Way too much vert. Way too narrow, come on it's not like its november and the pipe has to last 3 months before a rebuild. The flat bottom was wack with 3 speed bumps. No one was getting out of it. In the little time i wasted at the pipe I saw many a good pipe shredder show up take one run not get out grumble obsenties at the pipe and leave. This spring pipe is just another let down of mammoths pipes this year. Any one on this message board that shreds mammoth and that has a clue knows exactly what I'm saying. Screw the world's highest pipe or whatever mammoth claims it to be. Unless a miracle is preformed on that pipe it is worthless.

Its better than the damn alpine meadows pipe up in cali..they take forever to build it, the walls are always icey on one side, and crappy with chunky shit..augh that pipe pisses me off.

thats why i hit squaw now..its pipe is so much better.

ok ill make you all feel better.

Rode the pipe today and the left wall needs to be salted its a little soft and the left wall if you boost anything over 3 feet you land flatt. The pipe also needs to be widder. The lip is like 2 stagged and the left wall has some speed bumps in it however it was quite interesting seeing people fall iton a wall after hitting one of the speedbumps.

Its only the first day it is still pretty awesome pipe and knowing the kick ass unbound park staff it will be perfect in a day or two just a little fine tunning.

The park is fucking amazing there are 2 hits that are between 55-60 feet and one that is between 50-55 feet. And some 20 footers as well.

 
my only complaint is that unlike the care they show with the hits by salting them and contantly hand grooming them it seems like mammoth relies too much on the pipe machine and cat to do all the work and no one is out there fine tunning it by hand making sure the vert and tranny are just right. They need to give it the care they give the kickers.

Like if they would of run the cat down the midle today and salted it wouldnt have been so slow and anyone could see the right wall was over vert and left wall was so soft you could maybe get 2 feet out if your lucky all this in my opinion especially the speed bumps could have been taken care of with not that much more work just a little more effort and care.

uhhh, i got back from kirkwood and heavanly a bit ago and there wasnt anything good when i went, they had ok pipes there, but the tp sucked

hummmm......i live in the east, and seeing pics of that gets me excited to ski again. im not boycotting him. i hope i find my way out to mt hood/whistler this summer.
