So, today, I accidentily broke my friend's rear view mirror. I kicked it, but I just ment to pretend and just tap it, but it came out too hard, and it broke off. but the wire is still connected its just the plastic that separated. I am such an asshole and he is so mad at me that I thought he was going to hit me. I am soo pissed at myself for being so dumb. I've never seen him so mad in my life, he was screaming in my face and last time I did, he snapped a broom in half. So my question to you car people, how do I fix this and how much is it going to cost and what do I do. I don't care what I have to do, I will make it up him because I can't stand the fact that I made someone that angry. I just want him to forgive me and talk to me again. Thanks guys=)

Well it'll help if we know what car he has. Then you can look up the part # and get a replacement for him. I doubt it'll be very hard to take off the old one and put the new one back on as long as you're mechanically inclined. Otherwise you're going to have to take it to a body shop where they'll for sure rape you.

i broke my mirrors, and because they were heated and memory/electric, it was $400 for just the mirror

So I'm no stranger to having my sideview mirrors broken. One my friend broke with a baseball bat, the other my lame ass dad broke while pulling it into the garage.

Anyhoo, Just get the manual for that car, just on down the the junkyard, pick up a spare, and replace it. Simple as that. If you can't find it at the junkyard just find it on ebay. You might need to have a little electrical knowlege if its wired, but I'm sure you or your friend can easily do it in an hour or so.

Have you tried to clip it back in? Sideview mirrors are designed to come off easy

You seriously didn't know the difference between a rear view mirror and a side view mirror? I hope you don't have a license...

And side view mirrors can be expensive as shit to replace depending on the car.
