Im a pussy when it comes to beer

i just find that i can't drink it really, i just can't stand the taste i find it repulsive. as a result i had a flask of london docks the weekend, ended up shooting the vast majority of it in about 15 minutes. needless to say i was sick for the first time in my life from alcohol.

i want to stick to beer but really what i have tried in it i just can't drink, im a pussy haha. ive tried keiths, i managed to down about 5, but it was hard. ive tried molson canadian, i found that to be absoloute shit. i was thinking about trying the pumphouse blueberry ale, any comments about any of this/suggestions.

Any of the magic hat ales are amazing, grolsh blonde ale is pretty good.

Just go to any beer distributor and ask whats good.

Beware nice beer isnt cheap/

I used to love beer but i got sick on it once and then lost my amazing shotgunning ability. im slowly gaining it back though. one beer at a time

give it some time beer grows on you i used to hate it as well most kids your age do and if they say they like it they're prolly lying. just keep drinking hard liquor, nothings wrong with that.

umm sounds lik your probably pretty young .the whole point of beer, as opposed to hard alcholol is to get that buzz off something you can enjoy, not have to "be a pussy or not " about. Magic hat and long trail are both great tasting brews. Nothing like an ice cold blackberry wheat with a pinner spliff on a hot summer day... so delicious. If you asked me in 9th grade if i would ever enjoy the taste of beer i would probably laugh and take a shot

yah in my early drinking days i wouldn't like the taste much and couldn't understand why ppl drank it if they weren't getting hammed but now yrs later its hard to imagine getting off a long day of work in the summer without a cold brown solider just waiting for in the fridge for my arrival and consumption

you just gotta keep on trying other brands and stuff and you'll find that you'll like a certain beer and you can stick with it

The bottom line here is that most mass produced beer and most cheap beer in general does not taste good.

However there are a few exceptions:

PBR $45+deposit for a keg is badass and it even tastes good.

lol, how old's this kid?

im 14 and i like good beer, although cheap piss is good for gettin drunk.

but yea, hard liquor ftw. only real shit like vodka and shit, no gin and tonics or jager, shits stupid

i would just get something new everytime you and ur buddies hang.....u will then prolly find something you like.

Thats what we did in college. we would buy a different beer everynight and try them all out.

It helps to have a beer distro that doesnt card nearby too.

i didn't like beer at all either, when i first tried it i would even gag cause it tasted like shit. it wasn't till like 2 yrs later till i finally got adapted to beer and now i drink all kinds of beer without a problem. my fav is black butte and genuiess which is the darkest beer in the market.

what i pretty much drank is bitch beer and hard shit the first 2 years then uh i think it was budlight select is when i finally liked beer and kept buying that beer everytime then i finally tried other beers and now its whatever is available. and now i cant drink bitch beer anymore...

Try drinking coors lite. Theres basically no alcholic taste and its easy to drink. Then try different beers and see which one you like. Dont just start chugging, actually sit down with a 6 pack and enjoy the beer

i love lager like sessions hahah

our bears from deschutes brewery are awesome too like mirror pond

other than that i drink whiskey and shit

just suck it up and drink it a few nights in a row and then you will have no problem with it after that. Thats what I did when I was like 16 and I have learned to love it since.

dude, don't worry about it. I hated beer as a freshman. At least for me I found that I began to drink it out of necessity, considering I couldn't buy hard A, but could buy beer. Don't start with good beer, begin by getting used to shit beers and then work your way up. By doing this you will get to like good beer, but not be the typical kid who is unwilling to admit the goodness of PBR or Natty Ice

There are more important things to be good at...

I feel like I'm the only 17 year old on this site who's never even been close to drunk.

I haven't had too many different beers, but I sure have seen a lot of beer threads haha.

Anyway corona is legit, especially with lime.

if it's volume you're goin for drink light beer, like coors light or busch light. and put it in a cup too that makes it go down faster cuz you can gulp easier.

find a beer you can drink and stick to it for a while, when i was like 13-14 i could only drink coors light without wanting to kill myself, i had to chase anything else with soda or food haha. but after drinking real smooth light beers for a while you should get to be ok with the taste, im 17 now and dont mind shitty beer at all and enjoy good beers a lot. now that i think it took me a reallllllly long time before i could drink beer without having to eat food as a chaser or a drink or whatever, like probably year or so.

how old are you? you don't like the taste?? you must be young

go for the natty, natural light. cheep, beer-flavored water. goes down like tap water from a faucet. gotta love it. everyone learns to drink beer on natty btw or any other cheap beer, dont fill urself up on some expensive ass lager or ale. trust me you'll want to start out with the piss

thats the worst... when you drink a mass consumption of only one beer over a long period of time, it becomes water, and everything else you cant even touch. I hated that and it takes a while to overcome...

it's a developed taste, i hated beer when i was 12 too. make sure your beer is COLD i can't stand warm beer, if it is warm it is repulsive.

dude, you're the man. straight up.

but seriously, try some flavorful beers, like eastAR5 said try Magic Hat and Long Trail.

My personal favorite is Wachusett Blueberry.

drink a warm steele reserve. that'll make any beer taste good.

steeles are nice tho cuz there only a dollar for a 22oz can.

but watch out cuz if u drink more than like 3 shit gets crazy

i used to have the same problem when i was like 16 every beer i drank i usually threw up , my stomach just didnt like it at all but i kinda just kept on forcing myself to do it you eventually get used to it now i can drink 9 or 10 withought threwin up, try a light beer like bud

Where I'm from, we just drink keystone light, all the time. It's really easy to drink, tastes like cat piss at first but it's at the point where I almost enjoy the taste. There is also the occasional bud light, coors light, busch light etc. Any typical big name light beer is gonna be about the same.  Keystone is bottom of the barrel and about 12.99-13.99 for a 30.
